  • Intel splits on Atom after the mobile relevance of x86 whacked by Apple's Ax

"Fan fiction" ha ha ha  :D
My next door neighbor here in Cupertino is an engineer at Intel. His job is (or was) to run benchmark tests on Atom chips in Android devices.

This guy heavily praises Apple's chips when in casual conversation with me. He says they have some kind of secret in the way they "schedule" operations through the processor. He laments that no one at Intel knows how Apple do it!

Of course, like most engineers here in Silicon Valley, he chooses to use an iPhone. This isn't "fan boy" fiction. The Atom chip has utterly failed to compete in the tablet and smartphone market.

The secret is simple, design the CPU and have the guys next door in your office make the OS and APIs built for it.

  • Apple lauds own encryption efforts, says hackers are primary iPhone threat

If they really want the data, the FBI can spend the money to take the iphone apart and extract the SSD and the data directly.  That takes more time and not as easy as connecting to the phone.

Let's call it the new iPhone 7 "Edge".

  • Three weeks after calling for Apple boycott, Donald Trump is tweeting from his iPhone again

It's sad that so many are continuously fooled by the establishment controlled media & press.  All of the candidates are on establishment payroll.  How else can someone raise millions to run a campaign?  If any establishment candidates win they have to obliged to their donors 1st not the voters.

Both the dems and GOP are the same party, one for the establishment.  None of these candidates will take care of voters.  They will all lie to get votes and Obama has already demonstrated that.  He pride himself anti-lobbyist and look how his presidency has turned out to be.

So think again when you vote for Cruz, Rubio, Hillary, and even Sanders.  If you love getting screwed by the elite, keep voting for what the media whats you to believe.

  • Early reviews peg Samsung's Galaxy S7 as a serious contender for best smartphone

Most folks here are too young to remember that Apple once enjoyed almost a decade lead in processing power on the RISC based PowerPc platform over Intel's x86.  It wasn't until the late 00' when AMD and Intel made significant increases in processing power at much lower prices.  A few years late Steve Jobs had no choice but to join x86 as IBM and Motorola could not compete against Intel.  It's very possible that apple will lose their custom ARM SOC to another company this decade.  Intel could compete with them directly if they wanted to.  But it seems Samsung or Qualcomm have made lots of process and have eroded the Apple processing power.  All they really need is more work with Google to optimize the platform better.

If anyone has owned the S6 Edge+ and iPhone 6S+ can  tell the Samsung device is simply amazing. It has a much higher screen resolution and usable surface than the iPhone 6S+.  The camera is amazing in low light and resolution.  The curved screen is a thing of beauty.  iPhone just looks so dated and ordinary next to it.
