Early benchmarks shows Samsung Galaxy S9 well behind iPhone X in processor performance
Incidentally this also shows the limitations of using Geekbench alone as an indicator, the Exynos variant is way ahead (of the Snapdragon) per core, but in further tests has issues getting that on the ground. My suggestion would be a longer contiguous test variant in Geekbench 5 or whatever, maybe the Exynos is only able to power up its big cores for the very short subtests in Geekbench 4. Everything finishes these tests so fast now it's only seconds of heatup followed by seconds of cooldown. -

In other words, don't get you knickers in a bunch over this story.
The story is from Axios/Ina, Gurman only confirmed the details.

Review: Apple's powerhouse iMac Pro wows with stellar performance and design
I had hoped the Vega running at 83% a slotted ones core and memory speed (13.5 vs 11Tflops, 483GB/s vs 400, for the 64) would mean at least absolutely 0 dips past that point even on extended combined load. Looks like there's another 10% drop over time even beyond that. I'd like to see that combined load performance looked into more, particularly with the 64 version. And curious if ramping up the fans manually can prevent it (but it sounds like it was at 100% at that point anyways, so probably not). -
