I don't believe that Communism works on a large scale. The only instances in which it has worked is where the :"rulers" PERSONALLY know everyone they decide things for.
Indiviodual towns can be communes.
If you treat people as units in a machine, they will hate you and will do little work.\\

I've noticed a Libertarian trend among youths on the East Coast. Judging by many of the posts here, it may be nationwide. I'm quite pleased about it, too.
Economy: Social-liberal (basically meaning do whatever you want to so long as it doesn´t interfer with my freedom (yes its vague) and some fundamental social rights everybody should have like free medicare, education and a basic guranteed minimum living standard independent of what you contribute to the society). That means that the state have to confiscate property (like income tax) to ensure these rights.
Cultural: Liberal as in opposite to conservative
Basically giving each individual the freedom of choosing what direction their lifes should take. Only free people can gather in
Co-operative societies because Socialism doesn´t work unless its voluntarily. The free individuals isn´t a goal in itself but the only way people can gather in voluntary coorporation with eachother which in my book is the final goal of human activity.
Anarchist Communist at heart ( I know, I know contradictory and 'doesnt work')
Avaricious, greedy capitalist by habit.
Pro democracy, just wish someone had the courage to try it.
Can't understand:
Why pyramid selling is illegal, but measuring a nations success by continual year on year growth in output/GDP is not,
or
why people who think that its the weak who fall by the wayside only mean intelectually weak and bitch like hell when someone stronger takes away their Lexus.
more specifically - Toronto - and I'm tired of being fuc.ked over by all 3 levels of government in this country.
I am a communist at heart but I am a member of the NDP for some reason... See how long that lasts
The only parties I really want to vote for are the Marijuana Party and the Marxist-Lenninist party. By the way - for anyone living in Canada, the Marijuana party captured 5% of the vote in every riding it ran in last federal election!
Individualistic Conservative. Although I don't see myself changing affiliation any time soon, I have been reading up on socialism/marxism lately - it captivates my interest for some reason.

Strange in the first part you discribe the french system of economy . But it have some limits : free medicare leads to a too important medical consomption unfortunately, for free education well it's ok if we can access to an alternative (but not preeminent) private system. For the basic guaranted minimun living standart, the idea is generous but il leads also to abuse, some men or women able to work prefer to not work and benefit from this (in france we call this the rmi) system. In certain case it's financially better to not work rather than work. As a result more and more people (the people who earn the less money) does not want to work, we have to give them more money, so people who worked are more taxed and earn less money, discouraging them and let them think that they better stop working.
Agree with the second part and the third part. I will add that people in general are egoist individual creatures that need to live in society. Ignoring this fact leads to many failures. In a perfect world , there would not be no police , no justice no prison no taxes ...Copearative system only work if each people take an advantage in it for the benefit of alls. But individuals are not always intelligent and sometime they try to take advantage of the system in a selfish way . In order to not alloud them to destroy the system , we have to have a kind of regulation or internal police. This regulation must not be too heavy in order to not annhilate our liberty and sufficiant in order to be efficient . This regulation have to be balanced , this is the most difficult.
I expect that i will not make you lough too much Anders, as i put my amators idears in front of a professional of sociology.
But i will be glad to have a constructive discussion with you on that subject
Former Republican-Party really doesn't exist anymore with Bush advocating illegal alien amnesty ,race-based home loans, and not supporting English as the Official language of the US
Former Democrat-Party abandons principles just like the Republicans do, sucks up to minorities even though suckup ideas actually hurt minorities in long run. However, I would consider voting for a Moderate.
Anti-Affirmative Action
Anti-Multiculturalism
Pro Gun Control
Pro Environment
Pro Choice on abortion
Pro Death Penalty
Pro Legalization of Marijuana

Member of FAIR and I support Immigration reduction and I am against any mass illegal alien amnesty.
Member of US English and support making English the official language of the US.
Would like to see US pull back from World conflicts since we aren't appreciated anyway.
In favor of closing border with Canada unless they toughen up immigrations laws.
Favorite foreign countries(in no particular order):
libertarians and anarchists are really similar except:
anarchists believe in no authority/government and love collective dinners and gatherings in the woods
libertarian: no government but love company picnics and shooting barbeques in the woods
Anarchist: tend to dress in black and grey and rags and listen to punk rock and have stuff in their hair
Libertarians tend to wear thin cotton button down short sleeved shirts with an undershirt, listen to either the Carter Famliy or some pain-metal and have unwashed out-of date hair styles
Anarchists believe inthe right to take drugs and do so
Libertarians believe in the right to take drugs and do so
Anarchists want no authority or government so that the forests will flourish and they can live in them.
Libertarians want no authority or government so that the forests will flourish so they can cut them down and live off of them.
Anarchists are misanthropes but say they love everybody
Libertarians are misanthropes
Anarchists are pessimists but dream of the best of all possible worlds
Libertarians are pessimists and know this is the best of all possible worlds.
Anarchists are anti-authority and government so that we can live in peace and love and not worry
Libertarians are anti-authority and governement so they can stock up on guns get ready for the fight
Anarchists are anti-authority so that they can have many sex partners and try newever untried things
Libertarians are anti-government so that they don't have to be influenced by that liberal homo-sex crap promoted in every school these days
Anarchists are anarchists because its cool to be an Anarchist
Libertarians are libertarians because its cool to be an Anarchist.
anyway... I hope you all know this post was just joking around
Anarchist believe that without government authority people would spontaneuosly group into peaceful non-coercive collectives and there would be no need for organized policing or systems of administration.
Libertarians believe that without government people would be free to homestead, there would be no crowding and no need for policing because everybody would have guns and criminals wouldn't stand a chance; and people would spontaneously gather into collectives somewhat like corporations . . . but there wold be no need for anyregulation or policing because whoever wins is king.
so,
anarchists: no government: no police, freedom, peace and love (after the revolution)
Libertarians: no government: no police: freedom, guns and war
