For the extra £100 it costs to get the entry Macbook Pro you get a firewire slot, SD card reader and 90gig smaller hard-drive. They should have scrapped it and moved the rest of the line down a pay-scale.
Yes and No. 21.5" is TN and without an LED backlight. 27" is IPS with LED backlight. In other words. 21.5 is the previous generation in a slightly updated case. 27" is a completely different Machine.

Not true - both 21.5" and 27" are IPS w/LED.
That blows my theory, at $999, the optical drive free Mini is not the new ATV.
Not by a long-shot however it could certainly be considered the OBESE but slightly less mentally impaired cousin of the ATV.
