Great game. All though it seemed to me that neither team wanted to win in the 3rd quarter. Ya, know it just came down to who wanted to win more... and who could do it. Plain and simple, bad calls aside on both sides, The Lakers made the big plays down the stretch and the kings didn't. Bibby did all he could but, that wasn't enough. The Kings just couldn't make a shot at the end. Kobe could. Shaq could. Poor Doug Christie. That guy was lucky to hit the rim in the second half. And the Kings FT %. They lost thier nerve.
One of the best series I've seen in a long time. Unfortunately, probably better than the Finals.
Don't get me wrong I like the Nets more than most and I give them 2 wins, but the Lakers win it in 6.
And now a question: (Whiny Woods will love this one )
Has there ever been a better basketball player in the NBA at age 22, than Kobe Bryant?
Since someone is going to take the trouble to call me "thug life" in every post, I figure they are trying to say that all black people are "thugs" therefore they must be racist. So I say ok then call me thug lie, I'm going to turn it around and call you a cracker etc.
I think the only idiots are people who don't understand the NBA is fixed, especially after Game 6.

Yeah, someone calls you thug life means the whole entire race is thugs.
boyoboy.... I'm in agreement... this is just plain silly . . . you two calling each other names. What's the point? its just a game . . .
I'm sure if there was a "fix" (which, realistically, there probably wasn't) it was probably a demand by the mafiosa that the refs make a certain amount of calls against the Kings or their whole families would die in terrible fires...of course that's all
now... I disagree that it is not a good sport: it is truly poetry in motion with grace under pressure... all the elegance of ballet with the plot development of the great american novel!!!
I don't care what anyone says about game 7 being fair not being fixed the Fakers just winning on that night. Yes it was a lot better officiating but still a lot of nonsense calls going in favor of LA (like Divac's 6th foul...that was BS). Point is, THE SERIES SHOULD'VE BEEN OVER. Come on, let's all do ourselves a favor and admit Game 6 was pure bull-ish. It's crazy not to think so.
Are we talking about the same game? Floppy Divac might as well've been a fullback on that play cuz he sure as hell knocked Kobe away from the rebound with his body. Are you sure you're not posting from some Bizzaro world where everything is opposite of what really is?
[quote]like Divac's 6th foul...that was BS

That was a tough one. There was a foul in there, but I could see it going either way. Vlade used his body, yes, but so did Kobe with the way he dove in there.
With 5 fouls Vlade shouldn't have been doing that. Very stupid.
Here's the wonderful thing about officiating. As a ref, you have one, real-time view of the play. You instantly blow your whistle and make the call - right or wrong, you call what you "see".
As fans, we get the live view, endless replays in slow-motion, and 5 different camera angles.
Sometimes they're right, sometimes they're wrong. But, over the course of a series the calls usually even out. Unless of course you personally don't like the outcome. Then the "winning" team obviously got ALL of the calls and there is obviously a conspiracy!
Vlade's 6th foul could have been a no-call, but even all of my die-hard Kings fan freinds (and they're everywhere in my area) laugh at the idea that it could have been a foul on Kobe.
One of these guys hates Kobe so much, he prays for him to break his leg before every game... it's scary, he closes his eyes and everything. He's not watching basketball again until next season. No Finals. Not because he thinks that there is a secret conspiricy, but because he hates the Lakers and doesn't want to watch them win another title.
It was a great series and the final outcome was determined by the team with the stronger nerve and skill to hit the shots when they counted. Not the officiating...
Unless of course (again) you didn't like the outcome, then of course it was the refs and the secret conspiricy...

I am astounded by that well-reasoned response.
I'm starting to think that David Stern fixed this argument to make you look like an idiot.

I'd be inclined to agree, you cracker.
I think the only idiots are people who don't understand the NBA is fixed, especially after Game 6.
Call me cracker all day, you won't find me giving a **** or thinking you're racist because of it.
(Sorry if I didn't get scared when you accused me of being a racist, I know that might work on a lot of people but I'm not moved so easily.)
And you still haven't addressed my questions, thug life.
I think the only idiots are people who understand that the NBA is fixed, especially after Game 6!
I think this makes more sense:

Yep. Makes much more sense.

Let's rename this thread AI Trash Talking!

Looked like a foul to me too.
That's what I'm guessing.
