No, EmAn, this would only show that David Stern saw thug life's posts and said "Call off the fix, we've been discovered!"

Thanks, Dick Tracy, for foiling the evil plots of THEM.

Yes everybody, thank TW97 for his "saving" the NBA. Where would we be without his, um... genius?

Actually, maybe I'll take his viewpoint. I think it'd go a little something like this:

"Clearly the Lakers are the better team, but NBC, David Stern and his lackies, want the big market Kings in the Finals. Vlade's flopping payed off and Shaq spent most of the game ridin' the pine with a few phantom calls. While C Webb got the calls allowing him to stay on the floor and clothesline Fisher to aide in the game winning shot. Even then Kobe almost won the game and 'overcame' the "secret guiding force' that controls the outcome of all pro sports. And, um Reggie Miller is the greatest player ever... you can tell by all of his Championship Rings! "

OK, how was that? Oh, wait I almost forgot...

"And Shaq sucks, he's only good because he's big. If I was big I'd have 50 points a game and like 40 rebounds and I'd dunk on everybody... And Kobe sucks too! Ya! He's like the worst 22 year old ever with ONLY 2 rings! Ya, take that Kobe!"

    Good, eh?

    Oh, wait...

"Now I'm gonna go hang out with all of my other cool internet freinds that know what's REALLY going on in pro sports and talk about how we're the real fans. Ya!"

    Ya, that sounds about right.

BTW, how many times did Shaq go to the FT line? 1 time. Oh, the conspiracy!

LOL That was pretty good patmcfar8, except you still need some work dogg.

THE KINGS OVERCOME IT! MINI ME PREVAILS, AND THE IRISH BOY FAILS! BWAHAHAHAHA!!!

No, I'm not gonna say that now it is fixed for the Kings. What I am going to say is that DESPITE NBC, the refs, the WWE, Vince Mcmahon, and david Stern's efforts to make these lakers a new dynasty ($$$), the Kings have just killed them. The refs were bullsh8t once again and called everything in favor of the Fakers.

You guys STILL don't get it. Ok, you have basketball which is a game, sport right? You can't just AUTOMATICALLY say "Ok, you guys win, tell the other team not to come". In the WWE (NBA), you got guys who are out there trying to play and win, and they aren't going along with things. Most team's aren't gonna just stop trying to play, but what happens is you have the league's front office making sure that the refs are sucking the Laker's cocks (sorry for that reference, but I had to use it). That means it's gonna be hard to overcome the officiating of the game and pull off a win.

Let me give you a kind of analogy that might help explain it a bit. My high school's men's bball team were ranked very high in the USA TODAY Top 25 in the nation in '99, I think #7 or something and the only loss was to Christ The King at the Slam Dunk to the Beach Tournament (where all the best teams are invited to play). They absolutely rolled through the state tourney and were beating everybody in Ohio by 30-40 points, even the best teams. Here they are championship game and what happens. I heard that our center took a bribe to lose the game. I also heard that a few others were approached. I believe it was our starting 5 that were approached. Here's the deal. Our C and PF took the bribes. Our PG, SG, and SF didnt take the bribes. The C who was the leading scorer all year managed only 2 pts and fouled out o the game early. The other one played poorly too. Meanwhile, Sidney was amazing and scored I think 24 (the game was extremely low scoring), and I heard he was very vocal in turning down the bribe. The result: a loss.

I don't know if that really explains anything, just kinda makes me mad that it happened.

I think the officiating has been much better this year and that has a lot of effect on the Kings being up 3-2. A lot better than the last 2 years I can tell you.

Tiger, I was reading the sports section of today's NY Daily News and this article instantly reminded me of you:

    That's pretty damn funny!

As the writer intended it to be. Sadly, TW will read that and call it printed fact. Probably hang it on his wall...

I'm leaving work to go and watch the games, but I thought I'd drop this question: When was the last time that both Conf. Finals went to game 7's in the same year?

That's what's gonna happen tonight when the Lakers and Celtics both win. And everybody knows that ANYTHING can happen in game 7. Who will be in the Finals? Time will tell...

A rather interesting article there. Sadly the attempt at humor was rather insipid. A head guy at the league or TV or wherever it was would not be as clueless. I think he or should would know what team Shaq & Kobe were on. He is right about Patrick Ewing though.

The refs are at it again...this is David Stern in full effect...they need to call 3 seconds on Shaq's gay ass every trip down. 4 BS calls so far in the 4th quarter when it matters.

That's all Walton ever does is say "bad call" after he said, "good play" 5 minutes earlier. I must admit that there were 2 bad calls that I can agree with, a foul on "floppy" divac and that elbow to bibby's face at the end of the game that shoulda been called. Oh well, game 7. Sunday.

On a side note, whoever wins game 7, the Nets have no chance.

On a side side note. How about patrick roy and his 6, yes SIX goals allowed against the Wings? Retribution is a bitch, Colorado. The King's 7th game sh!t story ends well as the Av's get the crap beat out of them like they deserved!

I pretty much agree, but everyone's been saying the Nets have no chance all season, so you never know.

We're supposed to be impressed that they rolled... the Celtics?

    Kidding.

It's not fixed, thug life, it's bad officiating. The Lakers have been bitching like mad lately so the refs respond.

Occam's Razor, thug life, use Occam's Razor.

I think the Nets match up much better with the Kings, and they lean toward Jersey's style of play.

Martin and Williams could give Webber problems, but T-mac on Shaq-yikes.

Bibby-Kidd would be a fun duel, too.

If the Kings go I think the series will be longer than people think, I'd love to the the Nets pull it off, but wouldn't predict it.

I'm afraid the Lakers would-how do you kids say-"Roll."
