overall, my take is that Jobs is not in great shape, but he's not about to drop dead, either. I'd measure his life expectancy in years, not weeks or months. Unfortunately, though, I also probably would not measure his life expectancy in decades...
My father died of pancreatic cancer, we all went to celebrate his birthday at a restaurant. At the time he was able to walk around and whatnot. 6 weeks later he was dead.
1. some appear to be drinking wine, others water. Jobs appears to have water.
2. Jobs is not raising his glass very high -- much lower than everyone else
3. Jobs' arms look about the same as they have the last few times he's been seen
4. the fact that Jobs is there, can sit up, and in other pictures stand, certainly makes him appear better-off than someone with just six weeks to live
5. I see no clear evidence of hair loss relative to public events last year

I don't know that Steve Jobs looks very much thinner than President Obama. IOW, he's doing fine. We need to leave him alone.
I'm coming to the conclusion that this crap about S. J.'s health is just about driving the stock price down. This is the kind of merde that the shorts pull. Either that, or it's an attempt to put pressure on Apple to accede to the demands for a "succession plan". If so, then that's even more despicable, since it also indirectly puts pressure on a person who needs to spend his time getting better, not worrying about merde like this.
Please, Steve Jobs, if you're reading this, ignore this merde and concentrate on staying healthy! Your family needs you! Let the parasites go suck air.
Great shot of the house. Looks better now than it has in a LONG time
The house is a perfect microcosm of all that is wrong with the government trying to prevent Steve from doing what he is best at. He took an eyesore, and will allow Jony to replace it with gleaming glass and steel.
He's building the best content distribution system in the history of the world, and the government is screaming antitrust. I hope he wins there just as big as his victory over that old claptrap of a house.

Your own heading "a few random, meaningless observations" says it all. Why bother?
Actually, the guy to the right of Ellison is John Doerr, and the guy on the far left end is Schmidt. Doerr is one of the sharpest people I've ever met.
My father died of pancreatic cancer, we all went to celebrate his birthday at a restaurant. At the time he was able to walk around and whatnot. 6 weeks later he was dead.
I'm sorry about your father, but that's not relevant. Six weeks from now any one of us could be killed in a car accident. He's here now and he's clearly able to function. We need to be thankful for every minute we have him.

Not a Dr, but if I had a liver transplant I would probably be drinking lots of water, and no booze.

Correct.
John Doerr is a superstar venture capitalist. Backed Amazon, Google, Intuit, and Sun Microsystems, the latter which was acquired to Ellison's Oracle. Doerr sits on Google's board.

Where's Ballmer?
Exactly. Hahahahahaha.

Who?
Where's Ballmer?
Invitation must have got lost in the mail.

Steve should've worn a suit, tie not mandatory of course. I find it rather inappropriate he dresses like that with the President.
Thank God nobody cares what you think.

You're right... I missed looking for Doerr.
Thanks.

Funny how Obama can get away with this. A Republican president would immediately be criticized for being in cahoots with buisiness/industry.
Yeah, right. Bring politics in. Let me guess: you're not a Democrat.
Thank God nobody cares what you think.

Yep. I'm your only fan.
