Well, the Republican president would be sitting down with different billionaires in the middle of the night, figuring out how to break unions and hand out pork to the billionaires.

I'm thinking Obama was talking about technology as a route to more employment and so on, with people who know a thing or two about that.

Ballmer is pure Republican. He put a lot of cash into an "tax the wealthy" measure in Washington State, for instance, that was supported by the elder Gates.

Good answer. Strange how self-proclaimed anti-socialists don't see how capitalism works.

Pres. Obama is rounding up the people with the most leverage over the economy. He had to start with Finance because of the emergency, and now it's time to do the same with the global knowlege industry.

As an intersting thought experiment, try to imagine John McCain or George Bush sitting between Mark Zuckerberg and Steve Jobs.

But seriously, it was a pretty casual event, even the President was in shirtsleeves. Steak dinner, not a State dinner.

Yeah, I hope he wasn't wearing his usual jeans and sneakers in a meeting with the President of the United States. I know it's popular not to show respect for anyone anymore (and people wear jeans and the like even to weddings and funerals), but jeez. I would get dressed even if I was meeting a President who I hated.

If Steve can NEVER wear anything but the same outfit, it makes me think that he's got a much more serious obsessive-compulsive disorder than I ever imagined until now.

Look. We have a bigot on AppleInsider.

If you don't think the President is legal and doesn't have a proper certificate then you've been ignoring the State of Hawaii's own records who themselves are sick of the bs your ilk festers.

A Republican President would be vilified for having this meeting?

Give me a f'n break. Republicans are expected to be in cahoots with Business. It's been that way since before TR broke up the Trusts.

    Hmm, better do some homework:

"Ever wonder Why Obama recommended Kagan for the Supreme Court?????? Word was that she defended the cases involving "the birth certificate" ...

In our Search for the truth...

...department, we find what I have suspected on many occasions. I went to Snopes to check this out and they said it was false and there were no such dockets so I Googled the Supreme Court, typed in Obama-Kagan, and guess what? Yep you got it. Snopes lied. Everyone of those dockets are there.

So Here is what I wrote Snopes:

Referencing the article about Elena Kagan and Barak Obama dockets: The information you have posted stating that there were no such cases as claimed and the examples you gave are blatantly false. I went directly to the Supreme Court?s website, typed in Obama Kagan and immediately came up with all of the dockets that the article made reference to.. I have long suspected that you really slant things but this was really shocking.

Thank You, I hope you will be much more truthful in the future..

    *************

That being said, I'll bet you didn't know this.

Kagan was representing Obama in all the petitions to prove his citizenship. Now she may help rule on them. Folks, this is really ugly.

Chicago Politics; and the beat goes on and on and on...

Once again the US Senate sold us out!

Well, someone figured out why Obama nominated Elana Kagan for the Supreme Court.... Pull up the Supreme Court's website, go to the docket and search for Obama.

She was the Solicitor General for all the suits against him filed with the Supreme Court to show proof of natural born citizenship. He owed her big time. All of the requests were denied of course. They were never heard. It just keeps getting deeper and deeper, doesn't it? The American people mean nothing any longer. It's all about payback time for those who compromised themselves to elect someone that really has no true right to even be there.

Here are some websites of the Supreme Court Docket:

You can look up some of these hearings and guess what?? Elana Kagan is the attorney representing Obama!!!

    Check out these examples:

I wonder what motivated President Obama to throw this sudden gathering of Silicon Valley titans. Was it because Steve Jobs is dangerously ill and this was away for everyone to have a lst visit with Mr. Jobs? I sincerely hope Steve Jobs recovers. He has changed to world for the better in more ways than anyone since Thomas Edison.

Actually, Steve Ballmer was visiting France on thursday and met french President.

"French President, Nicolas Sarkozy, has awarded Steve Ballmer the Legion D'Honneur, (a knightly order originated by Napoleon) for Microsoft's impact on French economy".

Our president is again betting on the wrong horse and embarrassing himself with his usually poor knowledge of tech matters. After a few words, he declared that the company was personifying the values of France and Europe… A country in a bad shape, with no major tech innovation to promote, living on its former glory and leaded by someone lacking a clear vision… yeah, he nailed it!

At least Obama got the top movers and shakers in tech…

I will point out that Steve Jobs can dress up if he wants to. He showed up at the 2010 Academy Awards in a tuxedo.

In most cases though, he's perfectly fine in his mock turtleneck and jeans, especially in Silicon Valley. He is appropriately dressed for this occasion.

    You are my hero.

Maybe two years ago he could have held down Cloud City, but now he's the least powerful guy at the table, and trying to surround himself with the successful, while he flounders.

    Maybe I'm being too harsh...
    "Under water grottos, caverns

    Filled with apes

    That eat figs.

    Stepping on the figs

    That the apes

    Eat, they crunch."
Perhaps Darth Remedial is his true sith name?

Oh dear, that is bleak. From over here in the US it seems the French are really fond of American buffoons (e.g. Jerry Lewis, Steve Ballmer, Homer Simpson). Is this true or is it a distorted stereotype?
