If an 1,800+ yards rusher can't help you win a game you need to win to clinch the AFC East, I guess you don't deserve to make the playoffs. Stupid Dolphins.

*bump* (plus, i gotta add two cents)

okay, so this is what more divisions with fewer teams means... you can go into the last weekend, and win your division with a win, but lose EVERYthing with a loss and some help. damn. but the dolphins were asking for it. never put the pats away. and just because they had a great runner doesn't mean anything.... the lions had the best running back in the nfl for a decade and could NEVER do anything in the playoffs (when they even MADE the playoffs, which was rare).

i feel bad for the pats though.. it was like last season all over again. i think the J-E-T-S, jets, jets, jets may be the heir apparent to the patriots sleeper victory.

thank god my bucs won... now they're just, uh, 1-21 in games under 40 degrees F. they'll still lose to Philly, but i'm just happy they're in.

nice to see the giants come back and save fossil's job... again. i swear, that team loves him like no other.

you're probably gonna flame me outta the thread for this one, but i just don't think bettis can go anymore. he seems to be hurt constantly the past two seasons. i'm not saying the steelers can't win (tommy maddox has been a god-send to that team and its receivers, and amos seems to be a solid -- if not spectacular -- runner). i just don't think bettis is as dependable as he once was anymore.

    For anyone who cares....

    I FU**ING HATE NEWORLEANS!

Every year we piss our chances away in the end of the season. Hell even Atlanta did their job by loosing..all we had to do was win at home against Carolina. WTF? At this point I would take Shawn King as QB over Aaron Brooks!!!!

as a former new orleanian, i feel for ya. but aaron isn't the problem. hell, he's the best QB they've had in years. that defense gave up 20 points to the cincinnati bengals, for pete's sake. and a ton more to the vikings... i think we both know where the problem lies.

    Oakland shut out KC 17-0...

At least they didn't have a loosing record this year, 8-8.

How many years straight is this that they haven't made it to the playoffs?

Well okay, but I'm still pissed because all we could do is put 6 points on the board with Micheal Lewis returning punts over 40+ yards and at the Dome! STILL MAD

He has been kinda half there whenever he has played . . . he has been nurturing this that and the other injury . . . I'm actually recently back to enjoying football this season . . .and the end of last, since moving to Pittsburgh two years ago (was a BIG fan of theirs back when Lambert et al, when I lived in California) Since then I wondered why everyone here practically worship this guy Bettis, cause he sure wasn't putting up . . .

anyway, the way he played against Tampa changed my mind, it was the first game where he had been realy healthy, and he showed some sparks of the potential that he is supposed to have . . so, maybe its just the hype, but I think THE BUS is gonna be on Time!!

There are tow things that worry me though:

    1. Maddox is good, I just think that if there is a problem with him its his lack of experience . . . hopefully he won't cave in the pressure of the Playoffs.

    2. Kendrell Bell has serious leadership about him, especcially for a Rookie: he is fast and strong and acts as the pivot for the morale of their defence: when he's ON they are as good as any D in the NFL . . . hopefully his recent injury is minor . . . otherwise Foote has some shoes to fill

    Hey, Beerman!

That still cracks me up. They should incorporate keg hauling in practice drills from now on.

Ever since marty left, right? Don't worry, though. Vermeil is showing who the REAL brain was in St. Louis' Super Bowl run...

Ugh. Another Raiders fan. The fücking dregs of humanity are Raiders fans. The lowest common denominator at any bar that happens to be showing a football game. I'm so glad they left L.A. Too bad the fans didn't leave too.
