Best moment of the game, Giants back-up tight-end kicking his helmet into the back of some random person on the Giants sideline.

Today was a great day for football. Two great games, unlike yesterday's blowouts.

i can't believe both the browns AND giants could blow leads like that. damn. i love underdog wins, but this is the next best thing. i hate the steelers, but i really like tommy maddox, so it's bittersweet. san fran's big receivers are going to destroy my buccaneers' small secondary (unless they break on the ball and try to pick it off every time... they'll get some picks, but also give up some huge plays to streets, owens, etc.). at this point, i just want atlanta to beat philly. otherwise, my bucs don't stand a chance in hell.

That game with the Browns was agonizingly tense!!!!

You could tell that they studied hard those other two games and kept throwing the exact right thing at the right time

I think that they got tired though and couldn't keep it up . . . Holcomb has sure proven to be a gem burried in the background though . . . he played a really good game.

Steelers secondary is truly their weakness . . .and almost lost it for them..

    but alas . . *heehee*... the better team won . . .

Now with the Titans coming up . . . they worry me. They were one of the only teams that out-muscled the Steeler D . . they manhandled them . . . and Eddy George is a powerhouse . . even against our (well, not mine but the Steeler's)strong anti-run Linebackers and line.

Its gonna be a good game, and if I weren't a loyal die hard I'd probably give the edge to the Titans.

now as far as the Giants . . . they screwed up, they should have gone for the first down on the second to last drive. . . I knew it before they kicked and missed . . . they were only a little over, what, a yard or so . . . oh well . . . I only wanted them to win because Shockey is a character, the color Blue they use is unique, and, the font of the emblem on their helmets is cool

by the way . . . anybody know what font that is?

well, it's a throwback to their original uniforms and emblems (which i think looks awesome), so it probably was a one-off design (therefore, no font probably exists for it... just the "n" and the "y").

also, re: the steelers... i think maddox proved to everyone that he has enough poise to get the steelers from a seemingly insurmountable deficit in the big game to win. it's just gotta be up to the steelers secondary to defend the pass (way) better...

The font looks like Chicago . . the font not the team, though their color blue is kinda like Chicago bears blue . . .

    anybody thoughts about the Sbowl?

I'm going to go with Eagles vs Jets. The Jets are red hot and there's no way two NY teams could suffer devastating meltdowns...

That's so lame. The Niners pull off a miracle and you're still going with the Eagles. Yeah, I know Philly's a very good team but when your team gets this far you just have to lay it on the line.

Last week my brother (who's a Dolphins fan) warned that we'd be up against a hot Giants team this week. I said, "Yeah, I know. But I'd rather be playing the Ginats than not playing them."

My Super Bowl prediction: San Francisco against whomever - it doesn't matter. They'll still beat 'em. GO NINERS!!!!

I'm not so sure the Niners pulled off a miracle as much as the Giants collapsed on defense and special teams. I don't expect their next opponent to do the same for them.

The Giants collapsed but Garcia and Owens still had to make the plays. The Giants gave an opening but SF still had to make that opportunity count.

i'm just glad i don't live in columbus, ohio anymore. i'm sure they're going to rename several streets and dorms in the area after the coach and several players, hold no less than three parades, integrate buckeyes history into every course in the curriculum, and have seven fireworks displays. oh, and a few riots on high street.

at least they love their team.

I'm not rooting for the Eagles, just betting on them to win.

The 49ers will not make the Super Bowl. No way, no how. If they do, I will eat chicks, canaries, cats and watermelons.

i do want to point out that the ny jets WILL make it to the super bowl... you can bet good money. why?

the phenomenon known as "ex-buc starting quarterback goes to super bowl"

look at the history, ever since doug williams left...

doug williams leaves, goes to super bowl with redskins

steve young leaves, goes to super bowl with niners

chris chandler leaves, goes to super bowl with falcons

trent dilfer leaves, goes to super bowl with ravens

i see no reason why the jets, with vinny at backup, won't keep the streak alive.

Any thoughts about the snafu with the call for the Giants?

I say bring the teams back together for a three second play and see what happens . . . so what if rather than a few minutes between plays its a few days . . at least it would be fair . . .

I don't know. . . sounds pretty crazy, and it definitely won't happen. . but, maybe it could . .

heh, and i said the giants would make the series, but that's only cause i'm from the bay area. no one in their right mind would have chosen those two teams. what a great season...
