    It depends entirely on pixel density. A pentile screen with high enough density cannot be recognized by the human eye. The difference in opinion about existing pentile screens stems from their (sub)pixel density being just high enough for some to surpass the resolution of their retina, and a tad too low for those with acquiline vision. A small increase in density will completely make this a non-issue for anyone, yet the microscope will still be able to show the same pentile pattern.
