Why does everybody hate rap? Rap is the only genre of music that really reflects how people feel and their emotions. Other music genres don't. They don't show that, they say "dance, dance!" or whatever. They are not real.
I realize you are of a much younger generation than some of us but seriously, almost all music has emotion. Music is part of the human experience. The problem that many people have with rap music is that the emotions being expressed tend to lean a bit toward antisocial behavior. You really should expand your musical interests. There is a big world of music out there and a lot of history you have apparently left unconsidered.
I'd never heard of this piece of trash before, which isn't very surprising, but I guess that Microsoft got whatever they deserved, since it was their bright idea to invite this uncivilized wannabe thug to perform at their store.
The guy looks and acts like a complete moron, and he'll probably end up getting shot by some other genius rapper sooner or later, which wouldn't be that big of a loss to most people.
A lot of old ultra-conservative types like rap, and those that don't are fans of heavy metal. That tells you a lot both about old conservatives as well as the music.
The closest old ultra-conservatives get to the language of "rap" is when they are discussing liberals, blacks and mexicans.

Ok, I believe that, but most modern music (not including rap) shows no emotion. It's about stupid stuff. Now I like Eminem, a lot. And if you listen to maybe, the, uh, Slim Shady LP (specifically the songs Rock Bottom and If I Had), you'll hear the emotion expressed. It is almost overwhelming. It is so deep, some people just see it as some rhymes and swears. And I have a very diverse library, anything from Eminem to Darryl Hall and John Oates.

Ok I can appreciate that and I actually do like some of The Real Slim Shady (1996) stuff. But since I have an open mind about your music, let me ask you to consider some of my music preferences. Spend 30 minutes or so listening to Radio Paradise (online in iTunes in the radio eclectic section) and I think you will hear some emotional music that is quite unlike anything you have previously listened to.
The rapper if you call him that started off by saying suck my dic#. Now maybe I am wrong but isn't that kind of a stupid thing to say in front of customers. On top of that who thought it was a good idea to have a "raper" jump from display table to display table where there are lots of computers (laptops) and act like a chimpanzee. Actually I am sorry thats not fair to the Chimpanzee. Lets say monkey. Doe tats not fair either. Hmm. A retard. No even a retard knows better. I give up.
I would love for you to list some names, if that is indeed true. I really doubt that the older crowd, regardless of ideal, likes rap or heavy metal.
What's his face, the intensely evil, ex-jock, running mate of Mitt Romney is a huge heavy Metal fan, as are many other big name conservatives. George Bush was also a big metal fan. I'm not big on American politics (or America in general) but if you look it up you will find this to be true of a lot of them.

Haaaahahahahah!!!
If you are serious, you just outed yourself as a very, very, young (probably teenaged) male. (or a complete idiot which you have never shown yourself to be in the past IMO).
The majority opinion? ... (doesn't apply to *some* "spoken word" stuff):
- rap is barely "music" at all
- uniformly misogynist
- violent, pornographic
- mostly about ego
How in the world is some guy talking about how big his dick is, how much money he has, and how many "bitches" he's screwed, anything to do with real emotion?
To think so is to misunderstand what "emotion" is IMO.

He has already disclosed his age in posts months ago. I don't think our purpose is advanced by discrediting his age and inexperience but is better served by instruction of the wisdom from the elders which your post does not reflect at all. He is a, young, but good guy in my book.
Is that really necessary? Can you please cut the derogatory racial slurs. It really undermines the civility of the discussion.
I didn't detect a racial slur in his comment. Are they not called black, Mexicans or Liberals? While I don't like political slants on tech sites, it seems a fair number of the posters here have no problems slamming Conservatives or Republicans (they are not the same thing). Statistics do show the vast numbers of blacks and Mexicans, sorry "People of Color" are Liberals.

Interesting, I did not know that. Good for them! Though I admit, the thought of Bush listening to Metallica or SlipKnot is pretty funny. Do you have any names for the "Rap" part?
"Now lemme drop on down some news for ya,
Ol' Microsoft is gonna cruise with ya, yo,
Developin' is all up in the house,
{expletive redacted} all your fruits, how do ya like these apples?!
MC Ballmer and MC Gates,
Visual Basic, not the UNIX 'make'!
Gettin' greedy wit' da Microsoft flow,
But our new interface is not called 'Metro'!"
*Gates beatboxes while Ballmer busts some moves, seams, and world human sweat records*
Yes, but no computers were harmed in filming those videos.

Tallest Skil, that's the funniest thing I've ever seen on here. Love MC Gates and MC Ballmer at the mics.
