What happened to "I've been reading Appleinsider for a long time just never posted anything until today?" More BS?

Brand loyal? Exactly what did you expect with a site called Appleinsider.com?

Define innovate for us. Larger screen and stylus aren't innovations.

Definition of innovation is "to do something in a new way". Not sure why everyone wants me to defend Samsung on here on these things.

Innovations on devices can be clearly seen by using them. Before Apple, Palm and Blackberry innovated. I'm probably showing my age but I had the original Palm and versions after it as well as various Windows CE devices. Each was innovative in its own way.

Samsung has some innovative things including how you interact with the screen, camera technologies and build structure plus it's built on the Android platform which has many innovative ideas baked in.

That being said, Apple is the more innovative company. They nail it in developing products that move the needle and define a market. Or at least they have in some markets.

Again all of this is easy to see if you try different devices. I happen to own one Android device and numerous Apple devices including currently an iPhone and Ipad.  I even own an Apple TV and an Apple Airport express. I guess I see the innovations that many other companies bring to the table and love that each drives the other to innovate more for us to enjoy.

    Wow. So why so angry?

I have read Apple Insider for a couple years just not the comments or interacted with the people who post comments. I'm seeing that it probably wasn't a good idea.

I'm not sure why you have chosen to personally attack me but I will take the high road on this one. Sorry that I brought out these feelings in you.

Not angry at all. I just can't find anything you write to be believable. In a way, it sort of amuses me. We see this all the time around here. Passive aggressive openminded trolls are just so obvious. But you're taking the high road...so whatever.

Hmm. Interesting. Your prev post just mentions "color and old tech like fingerprint security." I guess you didn't remember the M7 chip, the fingerprint tech is newer/isolated on the chip, new features of the camera on a cell phone, 64 bit A7 chip, the improvements in iOS 7, etc.

So to sum up troll MO:
    Say you're a fan since...but bash Apple.
List all your alleged Apple products.
    Lie about Apple innovation.
    Saying Apple just copies.

I think TS has a full list somewhere.

I'm done with this thread folks. I should have been more tactful in my original post and for that I apologize. Thanks to those who reached out to me privately to support some of the things I added and for being open minded.

For those that only choose to publish hate, I hope that you will be more kind to fellow humans going forward. It does seem to hold true that it is a rare few who ruin things for everyone and in some small way actually tarnish the brand they say they love. I think this is why some people can't stand Apple because of these people who have misplaced hate for anything that isn't Apple.

I happen to be one that loves the Apple brand and innovations they have provided. I also appreciate other brands and products especially Google in how it helps me run my business. I just don't love a few Apple people (that responded with hate and lies today) who can't seem to understand that there is a huge world out there with other great companies who can also add value, innovate and build great products.

Fire away with whatever you want as this is my last post on this thread. Who would have thought an article about a silly gold phone would bring out a few closed minded Apple fans like this to attack anyone who is willing to try or like another product.

MG is reading from a slightly different playbook than the usual foaming-at-the-mouth Fandroid trolls that infest these comments so heavily. This holier-than-thou, passive-aggressive, more-in-sorrow-than-in-anger, I-own-$350,000-worth-of-Apple-stock crap must be from the latest Samsung-issued troll guidebook. It's infinitely more annoying, so I guess you could call it effective.

Sincere or otherwise, the attitude is that Apple should behave the way they want it to. But that's what I love about the word "should": it's not reality; it's frustration.

We discovered it immediately. His statements were in no way accepted as valid positions, and therefore seeding the community with dissent about the quality of Apple’s products was followed by an immediate salting of the earth. MUCH stronger than even regular trolls since it was virtually everyone coming together to tear him apart instead of just one or two of us.

    Effective? <img class=" src="http://forums-files.appleinsider.com/images/smilies//lol.gif" />:p

I'm a few hours late to this party, but I have to say I just saw this news and was flabbergasted.  What a joke of a company.  Samsung deserves all the ridicule that can be thrown at them.

    1. Larger screen options

How many large screen phone models have sold nine million in three days?

Oh, that's right NONE, ZERO, ZIP, ZILCH!!!

Apple does not need to copy Apple (sic) on this.

I saw someone post that live tiles add no value but they do. Imagine looking at the main screen of your phone and your flight information for the day (including delays is automatically updated), scores from your favorite teams is updated, information about traffic on your drive home, reminders about an appointment and a tile letting you know your package has been shipped or is sitting on your porch at home just to name a few advantages. I had no clue how useful these would be where I don't have to look at my email or an app to get this information until I tried an Android device. Just because I happen to like this beneficial option doesn't mean I don't love my iPhone too. I just wish it had this one feature. Trust me, there are tons of features I love on my iPhone that I wish the Android did better.

I know I probably shouldn't be on this board if I don't just blindly gush over everything Apple. Sorry to upset the apple cart. Can't we all just get along?

Imagine, looking out the window and seeing how the weather is.

My iPhone alerts me of those things, twice now I've had alerts pop up telling me about a package being delivered.

I happen to own Apple, Samsung and Microsoft products so I guess that makes me the bad guy on this board. I come to here to learn about new products and features that Apple is working on. I didn't realize I have to be anti everything else to post on the board but I'm coming to learn this. ;-)

Interesting, a public admission to insider trading.

You'd better hope the FBI or SEC don't visit this site.

I've read Apple Insider for a few years but never hit reply on any comments until today so no great mystery there. Maybe I shouldn't have since I didn't realize folks are like rabid conservative or liberal government pundits on here. It's kind of funny. And I certainly wouldn't call Fox (or MSNBC) fair and balanced but I guess it depends on your political leanings. Sort of like Apple Insider would be fair and balanced around other products that aren't Apple I guess. ;-)  I visit all kinds of sites as I try to be an open minded and educated buyer and investor. I realize some people are rabid Apple consumers but I didn't realize until I heard from them first hand how mesmerized they are by the brand to want to attack anyone who doesn't buy anything Apple without question. I like to review all options and pick what is best for me but that's just me. No reason to attack others for their choices or preferences and vice versa.

And yes I'm an iPad user (own 3 of them), have had iPods since their inception and had the original iPhone, 3GS and 4 models plus MacBooks. I happen to also have owned Windows products and Android products as well. Everyone one of them has their pros and cons.

Was playing with a Note 3 yesterday, guess what Samsung has ripped off HTC's BlinkFeed and call it Magazine.

    Such innovation.

No, because that would be illegal under the law passed the other day.

Samsung hire advertising and promotional companies to do this type of work for them, they were caught out in Taiwan.

I refuse to believe anyone actually passed a law that would protect consumers from this. :(

It's some big long boring report from the FTC.
