"White" is also a racist term. I personally don't feel much of an affinity for anyone based on their skin color. Get to know the person! Racial classifications are all part of a racist, classist, collectivist political structure that rewards proponents of "divide and conquer" against the population.

    Enough.

It's okay to say that everyone can be judged equally for their color, which is not a possibility.

It's another thing to say it's okay to be perceived negatively for their color and not be able to receive any benefits from that negativity, which is the world we live in.

That gives you the what not the why. You have no idea why these people were rejected.

You're exactly right. That's why I say "Then MAYBE we'll have something to discuss." The "why" would be the discussion at that point.

Asians earn less than whites over a lifetime in the United States. It's a mere stereotype that assumes the other - though it admittedly looks like they earn more than an average white woman.

And don't forget, those white families are dumping their income back into their families and businesses, isolating the from the past to that sector of as it gains interest which helps to offset inflation (plus, they're earning the most money).

And I understand within Apple, I was merely pointing out the issues within the education system in specifics.

The stats you link to show Asian male income higher than white male income in the last record. Over time that will increase.

This isn't Apples job to solve. They have to find qualified engineers. The us education system has to solve it, along with the communities themselves.

That said it makes sense to hire a working class white, any black man or a Hispanic with the same grades as the trustifarian WASP whites because they have to be smarter given the lack of home advantage.

Oh come on. The us was segregated for years. Black people should benefit from affirmative action but why Asians or "Hispanics "?

And in the U.S., 55 percent of its workers are white, followed by 15 percent Asian, 11 percent Hispanic, and 7 percent black. A breakdown of race among international employees was not given.

Start ironic quote "So it seems whites are discriminated against most: only 55% of 77% (wikipedia), and Asians are 'positively discriminated' in a huge way 15% instead of 5% (wikipedia).

Seems that Cook has to hire a lot more whites and a lot less Asians.

Why isn't it specified how many gay people Apple hires? "End ironic quote.

Interesting, I can't read numbers. I'm intrigued, this is exciting, hopefully we can see more classes equalize in the future.

That being said, it is not Apple's problem to solve, I totally agree. However, helping in the solution is not bad. And Apple has a very very large influence among businesses in the United States - there's nothing they can't not do. Time will only tell, and in the time being, I appreciate the little steps they take.

Apple is becoming one of the most political correct companies out there since Cook has come into his own as CEO. Hire the best person for the job regardless of their skin color, gender, sex, etc. what's next, is Apple going to start asking people to supply their religious and political views?

Oh shut up. Try to stay sane.

Affirmative action quotas are unconstitutional. See recent Supreme Court ruling.

    So mullato then?

The US left tends to create these categories - the one drop rule is generally used by the census and black groups. If you believe that Obama is white, and he is half white, then those categories should be in the census.

Why should affirmative action benefit people of half European descendent, why should they be treated the same as fully black if affirmative action is designed to right past wrongs.

Collectivism is a cancer that never stabilizes. It continues to corrode and divide until there is nothing but the perception of class and class envy left.

So you're saying that because a black student who graduated college needs an additional step to their degree or additional work on their resume to compete with a student of equal college prowess, that the black student is not disadvantaged?

I did.  Apple ][ said a company of 100% unqualified minorities.  1) he wasn't saying that being a minority made you unqualified, 2) you suggested (hopefully rhetorically) being white was the only thing that made them qualified.  As stated by me, of the TWO OF US, you are teh one saying that, not me.

The "Left" are the ones that ones to take anyone that looks like they might have "black" in them and label them "black" as if they are impure and tainted? Sure¡

There should be no need for affirmative action but until people like you stop looking at some superficial features of a person to determine their worth in society that's not likely to happen.
