A great way to make big phones even bigger.

But if you don't need to carry a wallet it could lower your total pocket bulge.

Apple's cases look fine. They look appropriate.

It's amazing how gaudy even the "high fashion" iPhone cases are.

Maybe that's why Micheal Kors is no longer on project runway.

Spigen Neo Hybrid. Hands down the best and slimmest full body protection for people who are careful with their stuff.

The Spigen cases look quite nice:

I think the one in the video is the following clear one, the Neo one has a solid back:

It looks slim enough but solves the camera lens protruding while not messing up the back design. It also helps hide the antenna bands.

The nicest case out of all of these is the Apple leather case, which I have used for the last year. It's perfect: no brightly-colored plastic, no stupid decorative stitching, just a thin layer of leather that makes the phone much easier and more comfortable to hold. The leather is very high-quality and gets more attractive with use.

This article should show a closeup of the back of the Apple case, like it does for every other case listed. Folks should see how nice it is.

I do not dispute the usefulness of cases, especially for people who are careless and accident prone, or for people who just wish to provide extra protection for their devices, but they do detract from the natural beauty and design of the devices that they are covering up.

Which is why Apple's continued emphasis on thinness and the body design over practicality (like longer battery life) is misplaced, since they strongly encourage people to use cases and the phones generally cannot stand up to being dropped or even resisting scratches when being shoved into pockets that have coins or keys in them.     While I had my bare phone drop out of my coat pocket onto a concrete platform and onto the subway tracks without any damage, I have also seen many iPhones with cracked screens.   After the subway incident, I got a case.

The high prices for most cases also makes me laugh.   We can buy a thumb drive for $15, but a plastic case with 10 cents of material costs $30?

I buy my cases from Monoprice for around $5-$6 per.   They may be ugly, but they seem to do the job.  In the long run, I'd like to see Apple using materials that are strong enough not to need an additional case.

I wonder in particular how prone the 6 series will be to snapping in half. Being so thin with so much surface area to torque, I can imagine sliding a 6 plus in a tight front or back pocket, sitting down quickly and splitting that phone in two, possibly with injury to the person.

Every one of these is ugly beyond belief. Moreover, they ruin the look of an incredibly finely crafted device.

I always get a simple Sena sleeve case (no, I am not plugging the company). Not the most optimal design, but looks simple and sleek.

I agree. I use a Switcheasy case with a tempered glass screen protector.

It is a good point, and I bet the plus does have that concern.

Totally agree, already bought black Sena Heritage Ultraslim. My only criticism of iP 6 thus far is it's the slipperiest iPhone in history. Between the thinner/larger form factor, smooth surfaces, and bullnose edges I predict an avalanche of dropped iPhone 6/6 Pluses. If I were on the design team I would've etched some cross hatch grooves on the bevel.

Brings a whole new meaning to 'butt crack'. :\

I settled on a leather Coach case for my iPhone 5S and really liked it. When Coach makes a 6 case, I'll get that- until then I, like Marvin, prefer the spiegen clear bumper.

If I had to get a case, I like the incipio stowaway as it allows me to carry my ID. Together with Apple Pay, I have everything in one small package for which I now have to carry a wallet and phone. If I get those smart locks for my doors, I won't even need to carry keys anymore.

If the Apple cases covered across the bottom, I'd probably go with one for my iPhone 6 Plus, but they don't.

What I want is a very slim all black case that covers the back and all four side edges. That's basically Apple's new cases except those only cover three edges, leaving the bottom edge exposed. Bummer.

Or do what I did and go on aliexpress.com and order a case for cheap. Most of the cases sold here are made in China anyway so you're saving a lot of money ordering straight from the source.

I paid $1.99 for my iPhone 6+ thin case and $0.75 for my mom's iPhone 6.  And both included free shipping LOL

I got a Spigen Air Cushion Hybrid case from Amazon for $10 dollars that's great on my iPhone 6. The opening on the lightning port is also big enough to use my non-Apple (but MFi) cables.

I am amazed at the number of people I see with an iPhone and no case. iPhones are notoriously slippery. I am going a little farther this trip, I am getting a wallet case, because everybody isn't going to have %uF8FFPay, and this will reduce the number of items in the 'pocket check' from three to two.

Great ways to destroy the great look of your iPhone ... Never used any protector for iPhone or iPad and never had a major problem yet.

The antenna bands are really ugly, I want a case, ANY case to cover those up right away. Adding a little thickness to a phone that is far too thin is an added bonus.
