I don’t think you understand. That all substantiates what I’ve said.

I don’t think you know what an ad is.

Doubling down on computers that are built around the UI paradigm of keyboard / mouse substantiates what you said?  You're right.  I don't understand.

Yeah, that’s the complete opposite of what they’re doing.

They should just call it Windows X.

And where does this place Windows XP?

I have to admit microsofts marketing team knows what they are doing. Keep in mind even bashing gets the new windows out there.

    keep telling yourself that, son.

its's being talked about on tech sites like this one because it's so stupid. and an admission of defeat -- Windows 8 was a failure.

The Japanese aren’t going to be happy knowing that Windows 8’s successor comes out a year from now.

They’re only halfway through installing Windows 8.1!

    Or try to be hip:

    Yo! Semite

(OK, I didn't quite think that one through. :\)

I really was trying to work off the word Yo!. It wasn't until after I had written it that the word Semite popped out at me.

You think Microsoft wouldn’t update their own software to accompany a new OS?!
No, I think that Microsoft's Office division has, in the past, forced the OS division to keep old functionality available to avoid having to remediate the Office code to work properly on a new Windows version.

It happened with Windows 8. Office was the most non-standard piece of software out there, simply because rewriting it to use Metro (or whatever it ended up being called) and the Windows 8 APIs would have taken too long. So the Windows team had to allow Office to do things that weren't supposed to be still possible in Windows 8.

Several actually. The Beastie Boys were Jewish, and look up Matisyahu.

Wow, so Windows 9 sucked so bad, they had to scrap it before even revealing it?

Talk about causing confusion in the marketplace -- they only wanted it to 'sound' bigger. *rolls eyes*

They're actually quite decent. I still say that the writers of Pacific Rim got the idea from the Intergalactic video.
