You mean the iPod touch, iPad, and ? Watch sell because of it.

SJ called the iPod Touch the 'training wheels' for the iPhone, so sales of it would lead to a iPhone purchase, but it could be argued that without the iPhone there would not exist the iPad, nor the Apple Watch.

Yes, but all this speculation is silly.

Where would Apple have been without Steve Jobs? Where indeed.

It is always easier solving problems by blaming "somebody else" but yourself.
Unfortunately, by blaming this "somebody else" the problems will re-occur and deepen!

Why does everyone assume that he's placing blame?

That, to say the least, is pretty unprofessional of him. If Finland depended so much on Nokia then they had larger issues.

7.5/10; that’s subtle as all get out.

Can't wait for Amazon to get The Hague to investigate Apple.

OK, so it's simply an explanation then. That said it is potentially going to mean nationalists will see Apple as the cause. That's the problem with pointing fingers when the economy is in bad shape. History shows us targeting escape goats is the tools of dangerous people.

Can’t wait for the EU to demand that Apple continue to pay the salaries and benefits of all Nokia employees fired due to the company’s failure.

    This guy is simply deluded...

While the iPad might be a huge success, changing the way many people perceive personal computers these days, it hardly replaced paper.

It will have affected a portion of paper sales - 30% of all books sold are ebooks. The Kindle has affected it more but the iPad is in there:

Then there's note-taking: stickies vs phone reminders.

Before the iPhone, selfies all had to be hand-drawn too. I remember that. Mine turned out better back then for some reason.

If anyone is interested, Stubb never blamed Apple for anything!

Mr. Prime Minister, you should be blaming Nokia for not innovating.

Take responsibility instead of blaming your failures on others.

Anyone with some intelligence knows that the explanation isn't that simple. It's easier, but also dangerous to point to a foreign entity as the root of their problems. Had he blamed the ineptitude of Nokia's management he might have become a pariah.

Good for Finland. Now they can lead the world in exports of tears and whining. I mean, it's not like Nokia was gonna invent the iPhone or iPad for us.

LOL Don't worry. They are part of Eurozone. EU will bail them out like Greece.

Finland needs to stay away from animal husbandry as well, because it's obvious that with Nokia, they bred a one-trick pony.

Nokia didn't have Steve Jobs. They were destined to fail.
