    - Not much more expensive, $100 is nothing compared to the real cost hidden in the 2 years contract, which would be the same for a 5S.

    - Better camera than the 5S, very fast auto-focus. 240 FPS slowmo.

    - NFC. Not in Canada right now but I look forward to getting it. I love paying with NFC.

    - I LOVE the design/form factor, antenna bands and all, and loved it even since the first leaks and even more when the curved screen was revealed. Not sure why you're trying to impose the opinion of others that found it ugly to make your point.

    - Better screen, wider view angles and better colors.

    - Bigger screen (with more resolution, contrary to what you stated) for which I was somewhat convinced by many posters here and elsewhere that it wouldn't impair one handed use.

But the reality is I find myself constantly struggling to readjust my hand position when using it with one hand, feeling I might drop it when doing so. And Reachability is clunky. I could firmly hold my 4S and reach the whole screen without having to do hand gymnastics.

I bought the 6 willfully knowing that I may have a lesser experience using it one handed so I'm not "complaining". It is nice to have a bigger screen area and resolution, but one handed use is worse than I hoped. So like this person you were replying to, I would consider switching back to a 4" version (but I'd wait for the iPhone 7).

That's fair for jumping from 4S.

There's a way, and it's not in hell. I'm 6'3", and I wear size 34 Wranglers. The 6 Plus fits easily in my front pockets. I can sit down comfortably, and I can even remove it from my front pocket without having to stand up.

So, to break this down, 75% of people voting with their hard earned cash, voted that they want a normally sized iPhone, with a screen 1.2 inches larger than the original iPhone of 2007, lighter, thinner and less bulky.

A fella much wiser than myself once claimed people don't want big phones. Was he right or was he right.

Who's right?. People say everyone wants big phones, but the smaller of the 2 is Selling more. Who wants last to buy a new phone that's last year's model missing NFC, and faster CPU and whatnot. I had my iPhone 4 with its 3.5" screen and I was happy with its size. If Apple had the same size with touchid, NFC, A8, etc, I'd buy it.

The problem is like on Android when they release their so called mini version which still has a 4.7" screen, they install older and slower hardware internally, so it really isn't the latest & greatest. Who would want to buy it?

So it's dumb too say people want big screen phones only when there only choice for a fast new phone is a big screen phone!

Obviously God intended us to carry wallets in our back pockets (or breast pocket when wearing a jacket) and keys in front pockets.  But yes we agree on where phones belong.  Maybe our critical, life-altering difference of opinion understanding of the objective truth is because I'm left handed.

If I bent my ignition key badly enough, a new one would cost roughly $60 from Ford. Chipped keys aren't cheap. Newer keys would be worse, then there's the manufacturers that have the key as just a plastic fob.

Some of us don't have any padding there.

The 16 GB version is so stupid. Apple needs to REALLY treat it's customers right and not sell anything less than 32 GB. I was told by an AT&T employee that, sure they did sell quite a few 16 GB versions, but most who bought them didn't want them. It's just that it was the only version available when they did buy them.

Sony's done the right thing with the Z3 Compact in that regard, it's just a mini version of the Z3. But since it's Sony, of course it's not available on most US carriers.

If availability of the 6 Plus were greater, the tallied sales would have been nearly equal for the two models, with the 6 Plus lagging just a little behind the 6.

Well, you must have midget pockets then, because the 6+ fits just fine in the front pockets of every pair of pants I've worn since I got mine on Oct. 26th. And I'm no giant. 5'10" – 34" waist – 180 lbs.

Yes but the question is does it fit comfortably.  I can fit my big ass FiOS cable remote in my pockets, too, but I wouldn't want to walk around all day with that thing in there.  At 5'10 the 6 Plus probably extends like halfway down your thigh.  There's no way you can tell me you want to walk around with something like that in your pocket.  You may choose to do it as a compromise.

I don't see the contradiction. Both iPhone 6's are big screen phones.

Really? Half the population are females. My wife carries a handbag where she goes, and unlike me, she wants the largest one because that is where she keeps her current phone. But I guess that is because her individual taxable income is fairly low!

Larger phones are defiantly something that females gravitate towards. Every single girl in my family and friends all have Galaxy Notes, LG G3's and now the iPhone 6 Plus, I have a BB Passport. None of us have an iPad Mini, but most of us have do own Kindles as we like to share books and iPads.

When the iPhones came out I went down to the Apple store to buy the 6. I wanted to check 'em out before buying. I always thought phablets were too big. As soon as I held the 6 and then picked up the 6 Plus, I knew I would regret not getting the 6 Plus if I went with my original plan. The Plus didn't feel too large at all, it fit fine in my pocket, it had a better camera, it was easier for me to see text. So I changed my mind to the 6 Plus. Problem was there weren't any in stock. Well, I waited 4 weeks to finally get the 6 Plus. I'm the most patient person in the world and I was agony waiting for it. Plus my webOS phone I switched from was literally on its last legs. Just think of all those people that came for the 6 Plus and settled for the 6 instead of waiting 3-4 weeks. I bet Apple will be consistently selling the 6 Plus all throughout 2015 and beyond with the production rate so slow. Of course in a year it will be the 6 Plus S.

Yes, I do want to. You may not want to. Therefore you may not want to buy a 6+. But here's the thing so many seem unable to grasp: just because you prefer something else doesn't mean that the rest of the world must share your preference. The fact that the 6+ is apparently selling as well as it has despite constrained supply would seem to indicate that for many of us, it's ideal.

This is a conversation we've had here for a couple of years, but about big Android phones instead. There were a lot of posters claiming here was no way to fit one in a jeans or shirt pocket. My how things change. :D

The 6+ doesn't fit well in a shirt pocket, there's too much that sticks out on the vertical axis. Even the 6 sticks out a little more than I'd like (basically from the bottom of the top antenna band on up)

Are you talking about me? Yep, I returned my first Gold iPhone 6+ because it's too big and I almost dropped a few times. Then I went back to my 5S and I couldn't stand its size...felt like a midget's phone, so I again ordered a space grey 6+ and never look back.
    I

'Im trying to figure out how the 6 missed your investigation.

    Nothing's changed here, I'm consistent.

6 inches in 2012 is still 6 inches in 2014.

You might have a condition if you're able to stick your 6" jammie into your shirt pocket.

By my rough estimates I'm guessing about an $124 increase in the ASP based on: the popularity of the mid-range model over the entry-level due to a jump of 48GB over 16GB for $100 ? the popularity of the iPhone 6 Plus ? the drop in some highest-capacity models as those that had 64GB previously find the mid-range capacity is now more than adequate.

    You've missed a factor:

This year's popular model is $100 cheaper than last year's popular model.

In all fairness, your concept of good excluded anything that includes Android so there is no scenario in your mind where one could have both a flagship Android-based smartphone and tablet. Also, you shouldn't compare it to Apple, but the cost of a flagship, non-phablet Android-based smartphone and Android-based tablet.

No, I don't think a comparison can be made, simply because Apple and their direct competitors are held to different standards. CR data shows that the iPhone 6 Plus is quite resistant to being bent in normal use, far more rigid than the HTC One m8, yet bendgate is about the iPhone, not the HTC. I don't think anyone denies the CR data, they just don't seem to care that the m8 is so bendy. Given this kind of systemic lopsided application of standards, Apple can never, ever impress the diehard "Android flagship" device fans. A lot of people don't make rational choices, they choose subconsciously, then try to defend their choice after the fact. Hence "HTC bendgate" never materialized.
