    Fortunately we have something called the Coast Guard, which is important enough to be one of the branches of our military. A military that, if you’ll remember, will be coming home to guard America herself if Trump gets his way.

    And that's caused the price of drugs to get cheaper and cheaper since the oceans aren't any barrier at all. oh and the Coast Guard? Out there to save lives not take them and beyond that have you checked their inventory? Just how do you propose they seal off 12 or 80 plus thousand mikes of Coast? Plus migrant ships sink daily in the Med and it doesn't slow the flow in any discernible way.

    A wall has never worked to solve any longstanding problem in the entire history of the planet.  Period.
    Maybe not 100% solution, but it sure would help to mitigate these problems in a big way, while long-term  solutions are developed.

    Even a 1% solution is better than none; wall is more than that b

    I'm with you. All the candidates are awful. I encourage everyone to write in their own name on their ballot this time. The founding fathers were pretty smart about how they planned for a situation like this when they created the electoral college. If the masses lose their mind, which I believe they have, we still have rational, intelligent, thoughtful people who can make the right decision. It is just so disappointing that we as Americans have somehow ended up with only terrible candidates.

    There are already solutions in place, that's why the net influx is ZERO right now.

    Also,
    If this cost 100B to implement over 10 year (construct and man) (look up cost for the much much shorter Israeli wall) and 5B a year more to man each year and it's 1% efficient, tha'ts a ridiculously shitty solution. Even the fully militarized Israeli border has hundreds of tunnels, some nearly 1km long.

    1% efficient to stop a ZERO net influx is a very bad use of money.

    You really think that the US can't do something better for that kind of money? Are you for real?
    Trump voters are beyond help.

    It's sad that so many are continuously fooled by the establishment controlled media & press.  All of the candidates are on establishment payroll.  How else can someone raise millions to run a campaign?  If any establishment candidates win they have to obliged to their donors 1st not the voters. 

    Both the dems and GOP are the same party, one for the establishment.  None of these candidates will take care of voters.  They will all lie to get votes and Obama has already demonstrated that.  He pride himself anti-lobbyist and look how his presidency has turned out to be.

    So think again when you vote for Cruz, Rubio, Hillary, and even Sanders.  If you love getting screwed by the elite, keep voting for what the media whats you to believe.

    Right... They're all the same trope.... the same false equivalence.

     Even if they were all "bad", some are horrific (Trump and Cruz), same are just absolutely terrible on some aspects while decent on others Sanders (a 1960s, before we knew communism the latin American type socialism was a total failure throwback),  while others are just more slightly palatable version of what's been going on for 40 years (Throwback to the other Clinton era).

    HRC is no picnic, but  I think I can tell the difference and certainly see which one will not make me puke on sight, AKA Trump.

    My new favorite Trump quote, when Chuck Todd on Meet The Press pointed out to him that the video he used to smear and connect the protester to ISIS had been a hoax.  "All I know is what's on the internet".  

    There's your man.  

    New Yorkers have had to listen to his absurd tall tales for ages.  Everything out of his mouth since 1990 has been based on some bizarre fantasy that no one cares what the facts are.  We're amused that his supporters believe in his "success" stories, because he actually has very few to his name and a long list of very expensive failures, most notable for his trail of quotes making up nonsense about what just happened.  He hasn't personally led a major negotiation in decades, and he doesn't have the smarts to argue for another sugar from the waitress much less to negotiate with world leaders who rightfully have no respect for him.

     His unsuitability for Presidency has nothing to do with his views, which aren't even subjects he has an opinion or cares about.  And setting aside his outright dishonesty, which far outclasses any other candidate in our history, don't kid yourself.   It's simply that he's not a bright guy.  Nowhere near the intelligence needed for the job.

    Whether or not Muslims can be blocked from coming to the US probably depends on the circumstances. For example, if they started arriving on our shores and were seeking religious and political asylum like they are in Greece, then they would be considered under US jurisdiction and should have equal protection. If they are applying for a US visa in their home country or refugees intercepted at sea then supposedly anyone could be barred from entry. Once they make it here on their own it becomes a lot more complicated. Sort of like how we try to deport Mexicans who sneak in as financial refugees but often we decide not to deport Cubans who are fleeing political oppression. Anyway, even if Trump is elected president, I doubt he will make good on a total and complete shut down of all Muslims as he promises, but I agree, our immigration policies should be much stricter.
