un frikin; believeable. It is a know fact ( broadcast on American TV multiple times) that palestinians were forciblyu removed from thier homes. Period. Even up to last year they showed a parlestinian who still has the keys to the home that is now occupied by a flown in 'right of return" jew.

The current state of Israel is on stolen property. Period.

Keep telling your lies and maybe it will stick too.

If I show you some keys, will you believe that you stole my house and give me yours? Keys shown on TV make you really believe your lie?

IF YOU DON"T OWN THE LAND IT CAN"T BE STOLEN FROM YOU!!! This applies to personal property and and state land.

Stop using stupid capital letters, they don't make you any more right.

It's a well-known fact? that more than 700 000 palestinians where forced from their homes in palestine from 1945-49 (and both earlier & later). Even if we lay down israel's right to exits as a premisses.

Homes an land many of them had owned for generations and, though this was not very common in this part of the world, many even had legal papers from the ottoman or english rulers that it was actually their property.

You can stick to your own twisted definition of stolen. But you won't get far. with the UN, local law, international law or even the common sense of most people.

I do, like most people, consider Israel a legit state. But that still does not change the fact that there are a great number of refugees, with rights that need to be addressed.

Oh, btw, land is still being stolen...

Forced off of others land, doesn't make it stolen. Forced off my you landlord so that he can sell the land, doesn't make it stolen.

My twisted definition is that to have your land stolen, you gotta own it first. Maaybe your enlightened definition is better. I amsure a more open definition you come up with will alow you to come up with a way to have stolen what isn't yours.

If you think all the land was bought from absentee landlords, your pretty unenlightened thats for sure. Did you know that over 400 palestinian villages were completely laid in ruins from 1947-1949?

    New,

Did I say all the land was from absentee landlords? No.

Did I say much of it was? Yes.Do I say much of the land was sold by Palestinians? Yes. Do I say much of of it was land owned by no one, but the controlling authority? Yes.

Would you agree with sondajata that all of Israel is stolen land? I would honestly like your answer here. I think sondjata is about 12, but I'd like you take on his position that all of Israel constitutes stolen land.

BTW, any numbers on how many jewish settlements were sacked in the late 19th and early 20th centuries?

To me, if he is 12, you're barley 9. Of course it's not all stolen, - in the correct interpretation of the verb.

But are you willing to admit that some of it actually was stolen?

well, I know the total jewish population in palestine was 8% in 1918. Including recent immigrants. Are you sure you want to pursue this topic?

Are you willing to admit that it is not all stolen? Cuz he sure to think it is. Then again, I assume too much, you just may feel all of Israel is stolen land, as he does.

What, that there has been a continous jewish presence in Palestine/Israel for thousands of years? My comment was a reference to yours about Palestinian villages being empties..so were jewish villages.

You really want to defend a person's claims that all of Israel is stolen?

I, being Jewish, have no fear of censure over injecting myself into this debate.

I think that few could argue that the Palestinians, just as the Isrælis, are Semitic. This debate is thus a logomachal Catch-22, for although the law in question is therefore unquestionably anti-Semitic, those who criticise it have also been branded as anti-Semitic. (If one instead wishes to argue that by 'anti-Semitic' one means anti-Jewish, then I should counter that not all Isræli citizens are Jewish; if one wishes instead to argue that by 'anti-Semitic' one means anti-Isræli,, then I should counter that that is the point of the whole confounded argument, is it not?)

Damned should you support it, damned should you not. Is hypocrisy, of the especially atrocious and virulent 'holier-than-thou' variety, once again on the rise?

For the sake of argument. Let's pick a number, any number, and take it from there. How about according to the 1948 partition plan; 30% of Israel now expands beyond the intended UN borders.

Do you agree that Israel now consists of 30% stolen land beyond the original intended UN borders?

(remember we're not even talking about land inside the 48 borders, in Gaza or on the West Bank.)

I don't believe in granting citizenship to anyone. I don't believe that a leopard can change his spots.

If you are born Indian no piece of paper is ever going to make you an American. If you are born an Arab a piece of paper won't turn you into an Israeli.

This doesn't really make sense. If you are permanently living somewhere, the general rule should be that the state will treat you as a citizen.

    OK,

Please list the races that a piece of paper does make American. Presumably white and European, or ... ?

    Do tell us.

I agree with others who have pointed out the general stupidity inherent in this comment. As an additional point in response to the comment, I would note that from the time of the creation of the modern state of Israel, there have been many Israeli citizens who are Arabs.
