I'm interested in getting an iPod for a friend of mine, but given that they were last released in August, I think I'll sit tight for a while. Speed bumps seem inevitable soon, no?

If you mean new iPods will play music twice as fast, yes.

You know, I thought about this just after I posted... I said to myself "I should probably edit that..." but when I figured "nah, people will understand what I mean". Apparently I was wrong.

Kasper Jade may have good news for Mandricard in an article relaunching the AppleInsider front page. The article claims that Apple plans to launch its new music download service on April 28 (a Monday). According to MacRumors, introduction of the music download service may coincide with the launch of new iPods.
Cheers to eternal patience and ever-springing hope!

Will there be new iPods announced during the war or is this definitely going to be a post-war release?
Something tells me it's gonna be post-war... Apple's salse have been WAY down during the war period.
