Baseball is insanely boring to me until the bottom of the 9th in the last game of a series. I used to love baseball, still haven't forgiven them for The Strike.

    Go Cubbies!

I'm not really into baseball anymore, as Football and Hockey are far more physical sports that I chose to participate in.

But the one thing I love about baseball is how the Yankees continue to succeed and the Red Sox are always in their shadow. I can't imagine how utterly frustrating it is to Bostonians, but I love it!!!!

    GO TIGERS!!!!

    Say it with me now...

    Cubs, Sox..

    Cubs, Sox...

    CUBS, SOX...

    CUBS, SOX...

Though few things would give me greater pleasure than watching the Yankees lose to the Cubs in 7, a Cubs Red Sox World Series would be a truly historic series. Something that you could tell yer grandkids about.

By far the odd man out here is Florida with their zero heritage team. Were they to win the series, they'd probably have another fire sale next spring. Also, Florida fans have one very important thing in common with Braves fans.

They suck. Go 'CANES ya'll! I mean Go DAWGS! I mean.... uhhhh.

i'm really torn who i want the american league opponent for the cubs to be.

reasons for the red sox to win:

    a. i like fran's posts, and i really would feel his pain if the sox lost

    b. it would mean that they beat the yankees

    c. johnny damon

reasons for the yankees to win:

    a. it would relieve a bit of the b/s that the fox broadcast will spout. (1918 rematch, called shot, cubs haven't done this since....sox haven't done this since....blah blah blah)

    b. steinbrenner's been talking a bunch of smack, how the yankees have carried baseball, and how he's mad the cubs are getting prime time treatment, and it would be great to see this sorry schmuck have to eat it.

    c. other than steinbrenner, i really like the yankees, i mean they aren't terrific buttheads like they've been in the past, and i really like torre, zimmer, stottlmyre etc.

not an a-hole in the bunch.

i think i'll root for the sox since the cubs have already spanked the yanks this year and just listen to the radio, with the sound on tv down.

Typical Red Sox fan. The curse of The Argento strikes again!

If I remember correctly, the final sign of the Apocalype is the Cubs vs. the Red Sox in the World Series. Since neither team is supposed to win the World Series, the world will end before the winner is decided...

I love my college football for my teams but no other sport compares to playoff baseball in terms of drama.
