I ordered mine the 5th of Febuary, I'll probably see mine getting shipped in 3-5 weeks. I'm a patient guy though. I just hope it arrives before I go on vacation!
I made the mistake of buying mine from MacMall on Jan 8th and it's not here yet. MacMall's only got 70 units so far and they have bout 2000 backorders. The only good thing is that I'm high up in the orders. If Apple would only get some stock to them I'd get my computer.
amazing, how much did you pay to the Apple employee?
Serious, how did you do that? </strong><hr></blockquote>
i ordered mine jan 22nd and got it feb 9th. i think it shipped faster because i was eligible to order thru the less-used federal employee store at apple. (or maybe it's higher priority?--hahaha!) and i got the base configuration cuz i figured it wouldnt take as long.
i dunno, dont beat yourself up, nobody can understand the shipping schedule....
Well, the day has finally arrived. My iMac is on the fedex truck on the way to my house. I'm so excited. I have class at 3:30 so knowing my luck the guy will deliver it at like 3:15. Anyway, I ordered mine on the 13th and I guess got mine on the 19th. Thats 37 days which isn't as bad as some people's wait time. I'm not exactly sure if Apple has a meaness to this shipping madness, but maybe we'll never know.
well, its finally here. I've wasted most of the day partitioning, reinstalling, and copying, but I think I've finally got it how I like it. It is a lot bigger that I thought (having never seen one in person before now). I love it. The screen is beautiful. I had only one dead pixel. A green one. I don't really notice it unless the screen is black. Anyway, I haven't crashed it yet and since I'm done with installing I think I'm home free. I hope

one partition, but i was too lazy to divide it...one works great for me so far....most people who buy the new iMac with never change the config that came with it....g
yeah, the imac comes on one partition and I think for most people it should stay that way. It was a pain trying to get it partitioned and everything reinstalled. I think it would be ok either way.

I ordered mine on January 8th from Macwarehouse, which moved its ship date four times, the last time to the 21st of February. So I also put my name on the Apple store list. On February 18, the Apple store called me with one in stock. I got it.
I immediately called MacWarehouse and cancelled my order. The next morning, I awoke to the e-mail announcing that MacWarehouse had shipped my Imac.

This is my first contribution to the AI forums on the G4 iMac. I got ' hooked' on AI since the 'Apple hype MWSF' . Brilliant thread of >1000posts!! My input for other Dutch members (like myself): I ordered iMac G4/800 with 512 mb (two sticks) on 26/1 from the Dutch online Apple Store. My order turned to 'shipped' yesterday (19/02). It seems that the flight to Europe has been delayed, but still an ETA for 25/02. For Dutch customers, Apple delivers on time.

Does it come with a OSX and OS9 partition or do they put it all on one partition. If they put it on one. I'll be doing the same thing.
