Man, I'm kinda glad you guys are in the same boat I'm in. I'm getting tired of seeing the same "Being Assembled". Anyway, I hope it ships soon so we can all play with our powerful new toys.

Considering the fact that I also ordered an iPod to go with my new iMac. hell, I got the iPod 3 days after I ordered my iMac. so now my iPod sits here on my desk next to my Rev A iMac (i waited forever to upgrade), awaiting the arrival of the new iMac =X
I am partially shipped as well, my three packs of DVD-Rs. I, however, did not order my new iMac until the 18th so I have a bit more waiting to do. As soon as you guys get yours though, I can experience the joy vicariously, so that will just have to tide me over until mine arrives!
I just had this Email from my Apple Centre here in the UK:-
"I've contacted Apple about when we should be receiving your iMac. iMac 800's are due to start shipping next week, so we should be receiving a delivery the first week in February."
Hopefully it will be before the first week in Feb as I can't wait that long!!!

Thanks Duals. My iMac has not shipped yet for some reason, the Apple order status page says still being assembled. I have no idea why. I will call Apple if it doesnt change by the end of the day (Apple being my brother who works for Apple).
I got some bad news. At least for me and some of you guys. I called Apple to check my iMacs status and they said that I probably won't get mine for another week or two. I ordered mine on the 13th, but I'm guessing it probably takes a while to ship 150,000 computers and mine is probably number 100,000. Oh well, shame on me for getting my hopes up again.
I also ordered right after the keynote, and NOTHING!!! At what point do we call Apple???

I ordered mine on 1/7 and still being assembled. I called Apple customer support today and was told that since I upgraded the ram to 512 it was a custom configuration and should ship this Friday or Monday.
Well, I ordered on the 22nd (d'oh!), with one 512 DIMM (double d'oh!). I'll be lucky if mine ships before the middle of February. But I will be damned happy when it does.
I have 3 imacs on order, only one ordered within the first 24 hours after Job's keynote address. The first one has the status of 'Shipping' on apple's site and I can track it with FedEx. I'm very excited!!!!!!
I am still blinking the sleep outta my eyes, but I don't actually need a shot of caffeine to feel awake....why...? My iMac has SHIPPED, of course! ordered 1/7, standard config, apple edu store. GOREY details perhaps, but I know some want to know.

I talked to Apple last night, and they told me that since I got an airport card in mine it wouldn't ship until the second week in February, even though I ordered it hours after the keynote. If I had known, I wouldn't have gotten the card- they're a snap to install yourself, and I'm opening it up anyway to put in the 512 MB SODIMM I have waiting for it. I'm so impatient I'm ready to cancel my order and just find one in a store... GRRRRRRRR!!!!!!
