Remember right before the G5 powermac came out... there was a fake image that was supposed to be a crude photo copy of it and people were debating whether or not it was real... so the guys over at Macrumors had some trusted sources look at it and they said it wasn't legit... can the appleinsider crew do that with this?

I think we need to start a contest to see who can create the best looking fake combining real life objects, rendered objects and Photoshop. Something to do until the real thing arrives.

    Good little monkey.

An AIO it could be, but it just is not. We probably should all shut the clamshells and move on.....but it's just sooo hard to do that.

u know the difference between mac users and those other ppl who use those other unmentionable machines, we have fun thinking about future products, and theyre future products simply dont compare in style and sophistication to ours. we anticipate, and they don't.

It hasn't really leaked tho. No one is even claiming it is real.

This is why some rumor site needs to put it up saying it is real then see if it is taken down.

The other thing is.. if they make them take it down we know it is real.

Not true at all, ineedag. They have been anticipating Longhorn for, what, ten years? And they still have how many years to wait?

There's no way Apple would design something that ugly. Also, about Charles de Galle Airport, I've seen cargo areas for it before, and the elevators do not have that ugly black spots!

    ALERT! HOAX! HOAX! HOAX!

If the pic showed a white-cased display, it would be easier to believe this is an iMac. I just don't see Apple going alu with their "consumer" lines.

Then again... the iPod mini is alu.

    No, It looks ugly!

I'm always amazed how awesome some people are at Photoshop. Great job whoever created this! But still, there is not way someone could photoshop the above image, it's just a hoax.

sigh. and i thought for once we would find out the design ahead of time. Better luck in January!

The only think is that I would have the stand sit below the display and put a reticulating arm on the display itself, oops, that's the old iMac

Hmm... Well I'm not sure if I can post a link from another forum, or if me posting this link is going to get me kicked out of something, but since so many people are wondering... I might as well put it up.

If this is what the iMac G5 TRULY looks like, then I guess the Pic isn't that far off... That post seems realistic enough, it looks like something Apple would do.

I'd kindly ask if you could provide us with useful information. Well, could you? Are you a recently fired Apple engineer?
