People who've complained that Google street view isn't important. I dare you to try it. You will find that you cannot stop playing with it.
I played with it a bit yesterday and I've messed with it before it was on the I-phone.. It's interesting but nothing that I personally have a use for. I am sure for some people it will be a good tool but it's certainly not for everyone.
I know people with iPhones who rarely use the majority of its features. They primarily only make calls and send emails. They really would have been fine with a much simpler and cheaper phone. This does not invalidate the usefulness of the features they don't use.

I used street view to look at the street I spent my childhood years growing up. I haven't been there in years and I saw how it has changed.
I looked at the campus of my college alma mater. I haven't been there in years and saw how it has changed.
I'm going to Los Angeles in December and I used street view to find some new hiking trails through the Santa Monica mountains.
As well as when you are lost and trying to find an address. You can look at street view to find what the building looks like. It has so many uses. Its difficult to see it being useless for everyone.

Building upon what Dave stated, here is a video of how Apple will most likely implement copy/paste. The creator of this video is the one who coded the first app for the iPhone with copy/paste. What is ironic about it is that many used this app as an example to show just how easy it would be to do, yet the developer states in the video how much more difficult it would be for Apple.
This is a great insight on what problems and solutions Apple might have with C&P. Great video! I believe most people who are wanting C&P should watch this clip.
I came to this forum to find out if the new iPhone and iTunes updates are stable and worthwhile, or if there are any issues that would dissuade me from installing them. Anyone?
Not so far here.
I would like to add, that only on a couple of occasions have I had issues about dropped calls. When it happened, I simply RESET the iPhone.
Not sure if it was related, but I had recently added a voice dialing app and was demonstrating it when the problem started to surface. Since the reset, everything was working fine, and since the update, everything seems to be even better.

I am agreeing that it's not useless for everyone (did I come across otherwise?)
This is what the ipod and iphone crowd have done to Apple, brought on a bunch of whining crybabies, who feel they should be entitled to everything. Oh Apple didn't add copy and paste even though it wasn't promised to you when you bought the phone, Apple is evil, Steve Jobs is ruining the company. I guess this is what success breeds, a bunch of leeches.

For me, things are humming along well with all the updates.

Perhaps it was simply an overload on the system. With over 100 million iPhones and iPod Touches, it could be a lot trying to get on at the same time. I would, however, not include many who are posting here, as most don't even have an iPhone. And by the ignorant questions and comments, not even an iPod Touch.
Yeah, App Store was down over the weekend. Now everything should be fine. Ignore the off-topicness of this thread, and look for the gems (if any LOL).
Since upgrading to 2.2, every so often when I pick a call up instead of hearing the caller, I only hear myself echo'd back to me with a slight delay. The caller can hear me but the call is connected.

Is anyone else having this problem?
This is not the place to ask. Not many here have an iPhone if at all.

I have had issues with the phone getting stuck on the slide to answer screen and the call not picking up. The phone doesn't work right until I power it off and on again.
Now that we are at revision 2.2 and Apple is trying to get into the corporate Windows world, but the syncing with the iPhone (1. gen) is still a nightmare on Windows. On my Mac is is fast and done, on the Windows XP is does a silly backup of 1000s of tiny files every time I need to sync my calendar. Makes me wonder if this is intentional, or just plain ignorance.

It seems snappier.

I haven't had this specific problem. Best you just RESTORE the iPhone. Any issues I have ever had have been quickly resolved by restoring. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414?viewlocale=en_US
If resetting doesn't solve the problem, suggest you check out the Discussion forum: http://discussions.apple.com/categor...categoryID=201
