will we get the 2.4 Ghz-Post ???? we are around 16xx now, right?

Sorry guys but I can't say that I like the design. I'm not too sure people will turn their heads about that one and go WOAH! Hate to be a naysayer, but I was expecting something really sharp....not dining room furniture.

A 12 min gap between the last 2 posts - that cannot be. Anyhow, my take on the new iMac is that I like it now, and it will definitely grow on me - esp if its G4 and Superdrive. As the Apple Turns didn't know what they were on to when they named a "Cosmically-Aware Lava Lamp" as one of their informants!

Well, when I made my post this morning at 4:30, I had no idea what was going on. I had woken up a few minutes earlier, checked my email, and saw that I had a message that someone wanted me to post for them.

So I did, then hopped in the car and went to work.

Now that I'm at work and see the TimeCanada article, I'm stunned. A G4 iMac. Of course, this could turn out to be an even bigger hoax than the iWalk, but somehow, I doubt it.

    I want one.

Here is to keep the post rate count up.

I like the sound of iPhoto. Been a long time in coming. Again, a revolution in the way we deal with media...i.e like a roll of film.

I have a feeling I saw that picture with Ive and Jobs before, but with another product ...hmm
  • Reply 1588 of 1761
Was there any indication of the iMac's speed in the Time article?

I would assume the iMac clocks at 733 MHz. Will be the same across the entire line though.

Just wanted to be on record as having said that the new iMac will sell millions. Digital video editing in iMovie is great fun, mix that with being able to burn your own DVD's!!!

Love this post, 2000 by 9.00?

Well, we're almost at 1600 posts with 4:30 left until the keynote.

    That's 1600 MHz.

    800 x 2 = 1600. Guess the prediction can't be too wrong, can it?

If that were the case we have world domination...Or at least deserved to have.

Heres to rev b of the new iMac (never never NEVER buy a rev. a. Learn from the original iMac)

Now what with the screens? Will the standalone 15 inch LCD be removed? And why didn´t they go with their nomal supplier of LCD with the iMac? Too expensive/good?

For f***s sake! Stop bitching about your expectations peeps, the show aint over till the Stevo sings. Most whines i've heard are about the Powermacs, and my guess is most of you that are bitching won't even buy one EVEN if comes with a G5.

If there is a chance that Stevo KNEW about the TIME mag spilling the beans early he WOULD NOT mention anything else other than the iMac!!! That "exclusive" on TIME was for one purpose, promote the iMac = Entry level platform to the masses and itself as an inovator.

He's not going to spill ALL the beans in one hit, the information would OVERLOAD non-computer savy peeps, instead he has given the bare basic of..

.. what it looks like AND what cool things the iMac can do.

Sorry, getting late and all this bitching in Future hardware and General Discussion has really been getting to me. So no offence meant to anybody if i have.

JUST SIT BACK, WAIT and ENJOY THE SHOW!!

Who knows, DDR/G5/400Mhz and then some might be in the pipeline, plus they can always "show off" a new PM in the next month or two so as not to detract from iMac sales.

Who´s bitching? According to my poll 66% likes the new iMac and only 8% dislikes it. ITS A HIT
