This could imply more than just screen savers, perhaps the ability to use a screensaver as wallpaper, like the SGI "cpu killer" background.

I'd like to see one that runs any itunes plugin, using a sound input source of your choice (eg internal microphone).

This is part of CUPS printing, which will actually bring a more general ability to share printers over just about anything.

That is cooler than the spinning hands on the wait-watch in system 7

Not as cool at the little fist tho

That comment about the fist gave me a really funny idea...

I really want to figure out how to hack the cursor so I can make a hand that "juggles" 4 glass balls in a pyramid or some such, much like the DavidBowie-GoblinKing in that wicked as Henson movie Labrynth (remember that old school flick? Jennifer Connelly..yum)

Anyhow...just made it come to mind... a fist that twirls a few Aqua gemstone balls all in one hand would be schweeet....

Anyway, I've been scouring the resources and haven't found anything on the new spinning aqua beachball cursor. I'm sure once we find it (if we find it), themers will go wild with modifications.

I would have rather seen 15 different threads, each devoted to a different feature rather than wade through 280+ replies to find what I'm interested in

    Here's To The Crazy Ones

    HereÂ?s to the crazy ones.

    Â*Â*The misfits.

    Â*Â*Â*Â*The rebels.

    Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*The troublemakers.

Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*The round pegs in the square holes.

The ones who see things differently.

    TheyÂ?re not fond of rules.

Â*Â*Â*Â* And they have no respect for the status quo.

You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them,

Â*Â*Â*Â* disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them.

About the only thing you canÂ?t do is ignore them.

    Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Because they change things.

    They invent.Â*Â*Â*Â*They imagine.Â*Â*Â*Â*They heal.

    They explore.Â*Â*Â*Â*They create.Â*Â*Â*Â*They inspire.

They push the human race forward.

Maybe they have to be crazy.

How else can you stare at an empty canvas and see a work of art?

Or sit in silence and hear a song thatÂ?s never been written?

Or gaze at a red planet and see a laboratory on wheels?

We make tools for these kinds of people.

While some see them as the crazy ones,

    Â*Â*Â*we see genius.

Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.

Seems that Toast Ti will not function under 10.2, just quits with no error. Even tried reloading it. However VPC launches and runs just fine. Fire does not run in its current form, but Proteus does. Photoshop 7 works fine. So does my scanner software for my Lexmark X83. However I cannot get the printer drivers for the X83 to load, and they worked fine in 10.1.x. Hope this helps someone.

Don't know if this has been posted already, but AirPort power settings are now saved with network locations.

Also, DVD Player doesn't seem to work on my TiBook -- it quits immediately at startup with a dialog saying "There was a system error. 1634955892." Anyone else have this problem?

I can't find Inkwell in the Developers Preview (6C35) - am I missing something or is it simply not there ?

Also, does anyone know what the score is with USB printers and CUPS ? Do we need new drivers or does USB printing fall outside of the scope of CUPS ( which seems more about network printing ) ?

Love 10.2 otherwise ... so much faster ...

What's up with the search box in Jaguar,

this is a screenshot i just took. I got it by making a finderwindow small enough so that the double arrow thing appears in the toolbar, then i clicked on search and got this.

I should say that im not running any themes.

I understand that it's not there at all.

As for the funky Finder search, no idea, but I noticed it too in screenshots. I would assume that they just haven't made it pretty yet, but there's an outside chance that they're removing some of the pinstripe backgrounds. They did it in the Dock too, after all.

well, thats enough of Jag for me..

its just too glitchy for me. Entourage is pissing me off and other things are not working great.

At the end of the day it makes my workflow hateful.

So, anyway, fun to see what we can expect and promises VERY well.

People who have 10.2 here should put it up for us AI members to get.

...while I'm at it... let me just upload my copies of FCP3, DVD-Studio Pro, LightWave, Photoshop, Illustrator and all of my other software with their serial numbers...

heheh... silly, silly man... who would do such a thing...?
