I figured the new 1ghz DP would be less than twice as fast as my machine, since increases in clock speed usually lead to diminishing returns. But my machine scored something like 2860 megaflops. Wow, those new ones are fast!
hey Kid Red I was wondering if you could give me any info on how to get into the whole porn site making thing. If it pays that well i would deff be intrested, i think it would be kinda fun, much better than the corprate stuff im doing now. I'm out of art school over a year now, I'm a desingner (audio and visual) and have done freelance web stuff before. Just a point in the right direction would be cool, or you can just ignore me if you dont want to tell me anything, and i wont mind
All the sites on KidRed's site strike me as, well, kind of the same. I mean, they're very well done, but they have that horrid "porn site aesthetic". It'd be kind of like designing laundry detergent boxes all the time.
Mind you, my own little unrelated porn venture is also paying for my DP (pun intended), so I certainly understand the advantages, but it seems a little...unfulfilling. <shrug>
<strong>Just setting it up right now I also got the Cinema Display and the Sound Sticks. Man, X flies on this thing. I only got the stock 512 RAM, because we all know how really cheap ram is. I haven't played with it yet, I still have to bring over 20gigs from my old G4 on this beast. That may take a bit, trying to figure out if I should even bother partitioning. Damn, this cinema display is fricking huge, lol.

Add to that the $2000.00 for that over priced studio display! Why don't you just kill yourself?? There should be some kind of law that would prevent you from getting ripped off like that! You need to be protected from yourself! 2nd try- 2.0 sec, 6648.0 megaflops
