I paid the $33 extra for 2-3 day express.

Dropping 4,000 big ones on a new computer was something I thought I would never do again (via the very old days of 90 Mhz PC's). Somehow, I did this and loved it. Getting a Mac Pro was tempting and actually delayed my purcahse for 24 hours but the "less clutter" aspect won out yet again. I will probably get Leopard Server for my iMac G5. I need to find out what cool things can happen with having a server.

Damn, that looks fully pimped out! I've pissed and moaned about Apple not putting conroe in iMac, but I've got to admit the 24" looks tempting. Let us know if it meets you expectations.

Believe me, I will! I am waiting on my UB Final Cut Studio Disc's to arrive. It was a hard choice to go with the 24" over a Mac Pro 3 GHz. But the clutter factor wins out in my old age.

    I will report back.

My 24th birthday is on the 24th of September. Unfortunately I only have $24 so there will be no 24" inch iMac. I can't even buy a season of 24.

Yes it is a BTO iMac.

I have added the extra 1GB, making 2GB in total, that is the only change though.

Seems they are over estimating so that they don't disappoint buyers.

It could also be that they had built a number of 2GB models in the expectation that it would be a pretty frequently ordered model, hence it was in stock and ready to ship.

I should call you a name right now because yours is shipping early.

I just checked mine out and it seems it won't ship until the 18th. You think dropping that kind of cash on a system Apple would bump us to the front.

I just ordered my 20 inch today Sept. 10 I BTO the processor, RAM, and Vid card and the ship date is the 20th with delivery on the 27. Which seems a long time from now. I hope it comes sooner.

    128MB ATI X1600

    160GB HD

    Bluetooth/Wi-Fi

    1GB RAM

Runs UB Halo Perfectly with all settings on high.

Anyone else check their Order Status compulsively hoping for a change? I know I do.

I wonder if the fact that almost everyone is ordering the 24" iMac with the 7600GT will lead Apple to offer it as a standard configuration?

Hopefully yes when it is updated (next year, spring, I suppose).
