  • J.P. Morgan trims Apple stock target to $230 citing iPhone & Services weaknesses

I would not be surprised if AMZN and GOOG(L) surpasses AAPL sooner or later in terms of the market cap.

Tim Cook needs to step down. He makes Apple just.... rotten Apple.
18% of Apple profits are linked to the kickback from Google. It seems that deal will go allowing Google to keep $20b and it should see Apple drop further down and Google move up.

As for Tim Cook. He failed to diversify Apple and to see AI. MSFT: 93% in 3 years. Apple: 44% (the difference looking at 10 years is even more).
Apple need to get a product person, stop the legal battles, penny-pinching, and infinite iterations. And to go somewhere new and disrupt. Personal health, cars - do something!
Rotten Apple entering Steve Ballmer´s era..

  • Trump's new China trade deal is still bad for US business & consumers

I see that Apple is treated very unfairly.
But Apple has been "friendly" in terms of their pricing policy.
I think Apple will not be heavily affected by raising prices.

  • J.P. Morgan trims Apple stock target to $230 citing iPhone & Services weaknesses

It shows that Apple is and will always be an iPhone company. Their service growth is maybe 10% ~ 11%.
Their iPhones get uglier with 17 series.
Apple fails to convince consumers why they should upgrade their phones regularly. Their Apple Watch series have no major improvements. It is really a huge disappointment that Apple Watch X did not get any huge improvements for the 10th anniversay.
Siri is a fail. I bet Siri will not be ready next spring.
Apple Intelligence is rather Apple Incomeptence with Genmoji bulls*its.
In any departments, you get news about delays.
Tim Cook... Sure that he is still the right guy? His mismanagement needs to be punished.

I would not be surprised if AMZN and GOOG(L) surpasses AAPL sooner or later in terms of the market cap.

AAPL investors must be frustrated while NVDA, META, MSFT heading to ATH.

  • Apple wants total control over distributing films like 'F1'

Yawn.. While other Mag 6 companies promote and attract investors with AI-driven products, Apple comes up with dead Hollywood which has been dead since Netflix.

Tim Cook rather hangs out with Hollywood celebrities while Jensen Huang meets politicians of all nations to promote Nvidia´s future.

Doesn´t Apple have anything better to do except promoting a movie, which pops up in my wallet?

  • Tim Cook isn't going to get fired, and Steve Jobs isn't rolling over in his grave

Good thing: Tim Cook executed and realized ideas of Steve Jobs very well. Based on interviews with Steve Jobs, he dreamt about devices like "something on your head" (=Vision Pro), "Personal devices" (=Watch, iPhone, Airpods etc.).
    Tim Cook´s execution was successful.

Bad thing:Given the fact that Steve Jobs asked the founder of Siri 35 days in a row to let him buy Siri, Tim Cook completely ignored the crown jewel (=Siri) for over 10 years.

All CEOs can´t have sucess at what they do. Sometimes, failures happen. Mistakes happen.
But Tim Cook is unlucky because the voice assistant Siri, which is the key of Gen AI, is a part of his failures.

Sometimes and unluckily, one failure is enough to put the future of a company as a question mark.

Now, Apple is at a crossroads: Apple will be either 80s/90s IBM or Coke of the 21st Century with strong MOAT.

  • OpenAI's $6.5B bet on Jony Ive could redefine how people interact with technology

After reading John Gruber´s articles "something is rotten at Apple" and John Siracusa´s article "Apple Turnover", I have to say that something is really rotten at Apple.

Apple is behind in AI (LLM, Siri, their GPU capacity, human resources for AI etc.).
Apple is behind in their HW. Apple is launching foldables.... when??

Apple has been rotten with their timid updates for iPhones. Camera gets better and better, but not much.

    iPhone 17´s design is rotten.

    I mean.... What isn´t rotten?

I do not expect too much from io or OpenAI, but I hope they prove me wrong.

At the end, it is due that we really need "cool" devices nobody is thinkg about yet.

    Rotten Apple.

  • Trump demands 25% tariff on any iPhone not made in the US

Now, it is up to Tim Cook how he will respond and drive the stock up again.

Amazon is also facing headwinds, but the stock has recovered so far.
    Walmart, too.
Jensen Huang responded immediately and the US government removed the chip restriction to sell to China.

If Tim Cook still has no answer, he needs to step down.

Apple Investors must be frustrating now due to poor stock performance (downhill for 8 days in a row).

Tim Cook.. If you are reading this, you are cooking Apple and if you have no idea how to navigate, step down.
I guess if Tim wont do what Trump tells him to, then it's best to destroy Apple (and any other American brand that won't toe the line) - is that his cunning plan? - looks like it's working well.

To be fair: The recent stock performance is not directly linked to tariffs or Trump.
It is just Apple´s poor performance.
Even companies incl. AMZN, NVDA, META and MSFT are hitting almost ATH despite of tariffs and fear of potential recession.

Walmart just announced to raise prices due to tariffs, but Trump does not threat Walmart to announce 25% tariffs on Walmart. Even Walmart is doing fine on the stock market.

So... Why is that?? Because other companies are doing fine and still navigating for further growth stories while Apple´s growth story does not exist.

Even Xiaomi overtakes Apple at Wearables in China. Apple again raises some trade benefits for new iPhones in China.
But if you look at AppleWatch 7 ~ 10, you don´t have major benefits.
iPhone 14, 15 and 16 do not give any significant upgrades.
Apple Intelligence has turned to Apple Incompetency.

Even today, the stock market is doing quite "well" with less losses. Only Apple gets hammered. I think investors have found any reasons from Trump why they have to sell.
It is not about Trump´s speech, but mainly about Apple´s general poor performance.

    Apple is rotten.

  • Trump's 25% smartphone tariff starts just in time for the iPhone 17

I'm going to so be pissed and relieved when, in the near future, Trump "suspends" this one and the price of AAPL surges back. Pissed because the profit all his insider-trader cronies will make; relieved because I have so much invested in AAPL.

I wish I were so confident that his corruption outweighs his idiocy that I could afford to put my money where my mouth is (by acting like an insider trader knowing he's going to orchestrate a market boost for AAPL soon). Instead I'm just going to keep holding on and ride out the Trump chaos.
"the price of AAPL surges back".. LMAO..

Take a valuation. PE (FWD) x28. Single low digit growth while MSFT. META, AMZN, NVDA deliver double digit growth to justify their high PE (FWD).

Why should AAPL surge with their timid revenue growth? LOL.

AAPL is under pressure. AI is cooked. Even John Siracusa wants Tim to step down in his recent article "Turnaround".

But Apple fanboys don´t want to listen that AAPL is under pressure.

Have fun with tiny upgrades from year to year and you pay way more for iPhones.

AAPL is and remain the worst performer by end of this year. AAPL can´t surge. This rotten stock can stay low for awhile.

  • Trump trumpets trade deal with China that's still terrible for Apple

Now, it is about time to show that Tim Cook can handle this situation. He screwed up AI.
Now, he has a massive challenge with supply chain, which is his expert field.

Too shame that he can´t convince Trump. Even Elon or Jensen could convince Trump to overcome stock crash. AAPL seriously underperforming. Tim Cook seems to have no clue.
