New 12" Powerbook with my Samsung 172T LCD. Very sweet. My Cutie DX firewire enclosure next to it matches the PB perfectly. [ 02-13-2003: Message edited by: icruise ]

My only complaint about the imacs is he fact that the low-end model doesn't come with speakers. That just seems cheap to me.

Talk about over-reacting. If speed is all you care about, then I don't know why you bought a mac in the first place. The faster towers will come, don't worry, but you will regret going to windows, trust me.

You know, if it wasn't for the specific reference to the rumor sites (implying that Apple knows, at least to some extent, the kind of things that are bandied about on sites like AI), I would just say that this is pure marketing without any hidden me…

I just ordered the OWC external drive a couple of days ago, and today as I look at xlr8yourmac they have apparently announced that the DVD enabler which allowed you to use the drive with the OS X DVD player and iDVD will not be included any more onc…

Essentially impossible. The other machines have removable processor cards, but the ibook doesn't.

I thought he demoed that feature as well -- it was the first thing I tried when I wanted to try out spring-loaded folders. Hmmm.

I've heard a lot of complaints about the tibook having the same issue, so it's not new to the Aluminum books. I can feel a very slight charge, almost like a subtle vibration, if I run the backs of my fingers lightly along the palmrest of my 12" boo…
