The new Apple Silicon Mac Pro badly misses the mark for most of the target market
I'm getting 192,834 on Geekbench 6.0.3 metal with my 2017 iMac Pro with a TB3-based Sonnettech eGPU with a Radeon RX 6900 XT. It's disappointing that the M2 Ultra apparently can't even reach that number!

Rumored Mac Studio trade-in points to possible refresh during WWDC
If the new Mac Studio can reach the GB 6.0.3 Metal benchmark of my current iMac Pro with an eGPU, 192,834, then I'm all in.

New 15-inch MacBook Air will stick with M2 over M3, says supply chain
Apple is confusing customers- both new and seasoned- with their erratic processor launches. Still no Mac Pro. Still no 27" iMac. Still running M1 products in the iMac and the Mac Studio. You can buy an M2 Max, but not in the Studio. You can't buy an M2 Ultra (yet) in anything. New process startup and supply chain issues are one thing, the whole lineup being out of sync is another, and is troubling. (Before anybody says I'm an "Apple hater," I'm not. we own 5 Macs of various vintages, 3 iPads, 2 iPhones, two Home Pods, an Apple TV, and 3 Apple Watches.)

TSMC may not expand in US if double taxation rule continues
Of course they knew. The gambit, I'm sure, is to force the US to change the tax laws specifically for their situation. Mac Studio may never get updated, because new Mac Pro is coming
This is my 2017 iMac Pro. While it's often stated that the graphics performance doesn't matter, this 5+ year old machine still beats ANY of the Metal benchmarks of M1 or M2-based Macs. Graphics performance matters! More and more photo apps use the GPU for processing, not just for 3D apps! We still need an M2 or M3 Ultra-based Studio!
