Apple may launch three new iPhones in 2017, limiting curved OLED to one model - report

Also, Just because some people shipped some devices with OLED in 2014, and got really sub par performance, does not mean that Apple is behind. Apple's screens are far superior than most, so they go to gimmicks like OLED before its ready.
Takes time for technology to develop to the level of quality Apple desires, and usually Apple is developing a solution of its own that is superior. When OLED is there, and Apple adopts it, it will be leading the way.
You android fans just have to retcon the whole world to avoid embarrassment for buying a crappy counterfiet iPhone when you could have had the real thing. -

Apple will release the "iPhone Retro".
It will be a cube with a rounded CRT screen and the resolution will be reduced to blurred 640x480 pixels and the refresh rate will be interlaced 30 frames/sec so it will always flicker. Noise and static will be added every few seconds until you move it around just right to clear up the picture. -

Rumor mongers need to get a clue. It's like you and MxxRumorx.com don't understand the industry.
Apple designs and builds multiple models that are candidates for the phones it releases.
It didn't "cancel" a pro version this year, it just built multiple models in case it has to fall back due to a component being delayed.
When it knows what it can ship at volume and quality, that's what it decides as the model configurations. -

This is the same kind of bullshit "data" we had to deal with in the 1990s when Macs were %25 of consumer desktops and these BS artists were claiming Windows had %97 marketshare-- in part by not counting most mac sales.
All, and I mean effing ALL of these android numbers are simply MADE UP.
Only Apple reports actual sales. The rest are mostly feature phone sales.
Why does Apple Insider print known false anti-apple propaganda as fact?
This has been going on for decades now. There is no excuse.
