    Very little...
    "real world usage and user experience" are mostly a function of software and ecosystem rather than hardware (assuming that the hardware is decent).

    It is why I keep saying that all the comparisons between hardware are misdirection because, what sets Apple products apart and above from others is not its hardware but its software and ecosystem.  But those are hard things to evaluate because they are subjective and qualitative rather than quantitative.

    I think we need to stop this "They ALL do it...." crap.   Instead of holding a company (or a politician) responsible for their own actions, the current mode is to spread blame across all -- so that everybody and nobody is held responsible.

    In this case, one company is using false advertising.   Call it that.   Hold them responsible. 
    If another company does that or something else wrong, then hold them responsible for for what they do.  
    Don't muddy the waters with this "They all do it" nonsense.  It's become a way to dismiss bad behavior.

    My grandson disagrees:  He wouldn't wear the ear buds but can hardly be separated from his AirPods.
    Yes I prefer the old style air buds since they don't need charging, do not contain batteries which will need to be replaced etc... However I don't believe I said you or anyone else should "no be allowed" to but them. When you meet a person that does not eat meat do you assume they are trying to take away cows from you too? 
    You SHOULD -- because we ARE!   o:)

    It's the second time he has done such a thing.    My theory?   Autistics tend to see things more than people and Trump is autistic, just like Barron.   So to Trump, Tim and Apple are the same.  No distinction.

    And, by that, I am not trying to be critical of Trump -- some of the world's most brilliant people have been autistic (or more correctly, Aspergians) - including the like of Thomas Jefferson, Albert Einstein and(very likely) our own Steve Jobs.

    Maybe not -- but Asperger's fits with Trump and this is just one more example.

    So AirPods ONLY LAST 2 YEARS!!!!!!   A    M E A S I L Y    2      Y E A R S ! ! ! !   

    That's criminal !  We should break up Apple and put them out of business!

    Oh wait!   It wasn't very long ago that the life of a cell phone was only 2 years -- and they cost a whole lot more than a set of AirPods. 
    (And their batteries still only last a couple years -- but, because they aren't extreme miniaturization, they can be replaced.
