Honest question, but how far do you drive/where do you live where this is an issue? I have my phone on a wireless charger for my 45 minute commute, and here in the Dallas area, it's been over 100 for pretty much a month and a half straight and haven't ever gotten this error without first having left my phone in the car while it was parked accidentally. Please, enlighten us, what is a "professional"? I am nowhere near the photo/videography field I'm assuming you mean when you say that word, yet a MacBook Air is nowhere near good enough for me. I absolutely cannot stand the pretentiousness people use that term with when talking about their own field and completely ignoring the nearly infinite number of "professionals" outside of their own little world.wood1208 said:Professionals will be happy to upgrade to. Agreed, watch prices can be quite insane at the “high” end, let alone the truly luxury category. Your Rolex will probably still be working when/if you decide to pass it down to grandkids one day. $900 for a wrist computer that will be obsolete in a few years is an entirely different pill to swallow.Skeptical said:

I mean, wasn’t that the gist of the entire original post? I’d really like to know who the person is that is deciding between a base 14” Pro and a base Mac Studio, and needed this article to help them decide…flydog said:

1. If you need portability, ever, the you must go with a MacBook Pro. And the M1 Max is the best you can do.
2. If you need the M1 Ultra (and you’ll know it if you do), you must go with the Studio. Desktop is your only option.
3. I think only a small portion of people will actually have the option between desktop or laptop. And if that’s the case, get the Studio. A lot more bang for the $1999.
This covers it for most anyone.
