I agree with you almost completely. I've been using the Elite 75t's since the week they were released, and they are due for an upgrade. Now let me know how much each of those Charter cable boxes cost a month. Then how much they charge for DVR service. Then how much they charge to be able to watch that DVR content throughout the house. Then how much they charge in hidden fees. Then how much they charge for local sports programming. Is it really that big of a deal? A language's sole purpose is for a society to be able to effectively communicate with one another, and you knew exactly what the author meant. Its not a car charger... the car isn't being charged.
Theres actually a term for this ... "Amerification" of language. I didn't realize that the word "Business" was a victim of that until Google came out with "Busyness" the other day.

merely adding cores isn’t helpful for many tasks, where increased core performance is better.
