Given what's going on with TikTok and WeChat, it seems relevant to ask.

Contrary to popular perception, cash and cash-like cards (e.g., debit cards) still rule in many countries. Rollout of contactless payment forms including its advanced forms like ApplePay, especially POS systems, are a work in progress. Germany, shockingly, is still a heavily cash-based economy.

Great card, great service, with simple and obvious perks. Classy-looking too.

I would, however, love for Apple to make the physical card a little less prone to scratching too easily and getting scuzzy (yes, I know I can request a replacement).
