  • Apple CEO Tim Cook personally invested $1 million in Trump's inauguration

Trump feeds on being controversial. His narcissistic personality disorder demands it. The opposite of being controversial is being boring, and nothing would infuriate him more than being thought of as boring.
Trump doesn't feed on controversy. He doesn't care. He thinks he can get away with anything, which seems to be the case. Controversy doesn't get him anything and just gets in his way. He wants chaos but that's not the same as controversy.

So it’s odd that a Trump supporter would object to Trump being called controversial, and then list things about him that are absolutely controversial and say that they aren’t.

It could be said to be odd to a normal person who can view facts objectively. Otherwise, this is SOP for the MAGA cult:

He didn't say or do that. And if he did, he didn't mean that. And if he did, you didn't understand it. And if you did, it's not a big deal. and if it is, other have said or done worse.

MAGAt screed. Facts are stated not opinions, not baseless accusations but actual non-alternative facts, and MAGAts flatly deny or worse – ignore.

Tim Cook did the same thing with Biden. Also, why did Wesley coin the President-Elect as controversial? He won in an electoral college landslide and also won the popular vote by over 4 million votes. I’d say the country clearly stated who they wanted. No controversy here folks. Maybe let’s just stick with tech news and not show our biased political views in a tech article.
He's controversial not because he won, but because of who he is and what he believes. There's nothing biased or even political about that. The mountain of lawsuits, assault claims, overt racism, sexism, and indignation for any country that isn't the United States makes him a controversial president.

Saying someone is controversial isn't an insult or attack. It's a simple fact.
That’s your opinion. Many of us believe it was Biden, his family, business dealings, and policies that are controversial in addition to the law fare waged against the former and future President.
Then your state's education system failed you. I'm sorry to hear that. It's been happening all over the US at a much greater rate than in years past.

You obviously get your news from Faux News, News Max, Truth Social, TwitteX screeds and Trump speeches. All of these "sources" lack both truth and objectivity. Those are choices you made. That's why you formed your opinion.

Trump's campaign against Biden and then Harris, waged by him and the RNC was one of the most vile, hateful, untruthful campaigns I've ever seen. An order of two to three magnitudes worse. That's not surprising since he had practice in 2016. Biden and then Harris' campaigning was nothing like that. Not even close. The abundance of fact checking and debunking Trump and MAGAt lies and nonsense were readily available if you had/have a computer. That is a stark limitation.

Main stream media could have helped you, should have helped you if they had spent less time on Biden's debate performance and any time covering fact-checking and debunking like proper news organizations should have. But no.

Paying the grift to the grifter in chief.

    Pretty unfortunate.

And not only did a majority of the country not vote for him not even a majority of voters did. Meanwhile all 12 jurors voted on those 34 felony counts for conviction.
Absolutely. All of those complicate in his election, thinking how they're going to be better off than with Biden after ignoring his accomplishments, are going to be disappointed in Trump.. Unless of course you've got a whole lot of money.

To start with Trump's tax cuts will be the same as his previous term. You guy hate class action suits because lawyers get all the money? You won't be happy with over the next four years. We'll get a cursory cut, not even an honorable mention of a tax cut. Rich people will, just like last time. New Grifter in Chief same as the Old Grifter in Chief. Except with a much stronger support staff. When he's gone it will probably be Vance because those who stood by and did nothing instead of voting for Harris/Walz won't have learned their lesson again.

Harris said we have to look into high prices at the supermarket. Some people said 'booo!' Trump vowed he'll lower prices at the supermarket. Some people said 'yaaay!" Trump gets elected and says "It's hard to bring things down once they're up. You know, it's very hard." But hold your breath till it happens because he did say he'd get it done. Yeah like building a wall and making Mexico pay for it. But that's ok. He'll end the war by giving Ukraine to Putin. That should make up for it. /s There is nothing for a good person to admire in him. Any one who didn't vote for Harris/Walz is complicit in the misery of the next many years. But if you've got a lot of money maybe you'll be OK. Trump is Trump First and is party is Party First. The Country is merely a means to their gain.

The difference is that Harris/Waltz conceded gracefully and not took up arms like in 3rd world country and mount a coup de etat against the House of Congress. Trump is not a buffoon.
That difference is only the beginning of his controversy. There is controversy in thinking that a businessman who's had several bankruptcies should be POTUS. He has a history of screwing other over monies owed. This was long before he ran for office.

Trumpp most certainly is a buffoon. To think otherwise means you've never watched his speeches were he just makes up crap as he goes along. By crap I mean "fact" numbers, and incidents that never happened. He does so shamelessly. He stokes the fears, biases, and prejudices of everyone he can, especially the uneducated. He loves the uneducated. He's openly said so.

Though to acknowledge a pedantic point of view, a buffoon is a ridiculous but annoying person, a clown by one definition. Had he not won the election that definition would be apt. He's going to be President and vowed to get go after everyone who opposed him (even though they had legal rights to). There's nothing amusing about that. There is nothing good about him. Nothing. Unless you call being a conman a good thing. Conman is too light a word for his criminality.

I hope Cook invested $2 million in Biden's inauguration!
The difference is Biden wouldn't be expecting let alone implicitly demanding this tithe. It's really more of a fee than a tithe. Hundreds of companies are paying it and over a dozen are paying $1M. I doubt this was the case with Biden's inauguration.

Presidents do accept donations for their inauguration and it saves us taxpayers some money. It's also a process to curry favor from the president. Trump is said to be paying attention to who gives and no doubt how much. He demands monetary fealty. He's always touting the awesome attendance of is rallies to the point of lying about the number. He has to have the biggest in the history. He lied about the size of is first inauguration and obviously what to be able to say it was the biggest in the history of the US! Which shouldn't be too surprising given the population increases over time. Image is a huge part of Trump's ego.
