  • Level Lock+ review: Must-have HomeKit smart lock with Apple Home Key support

Finally a smart lock that doesn't look like one.  My only problem with these things is you can't find them in stock anywhere!

I don't care how long the door lock battery lasts. It's the one time I forget my physical key and come home locked out.
Good thing it tells you when the battery is getting low well in advanced so that won't happen.

It's like they suspected something like that could happen  :p

  • New Apple TV 4K with A15, HDR10+, more storage debuts

On a serious note though are non-iPhone users just expected to fork over $20 for a lightning cable now? Not a deal breaker by any means, but an odd decision considering the dwindling amount of lightning based accessories.
Anyone forking over $20 for a cable is being very dumb.  Heck dollar stores have had USB, lightning and now USB-C cables forever - and for charging even the worst quality dollar store cables are more than adequate.

I'm glad Apple is no longer including now easily redundant cables.  At this point the vast majority of people have more than one of these cables floating around already.  The amount of ewaste dropping stuff like this produces is significant, and long overdue.

Most? The only home automation mesh networks I'm aware of are Thread and Zigbee. What are the others?
Zwave and Insteon - although Insteon is now dead.  All my stuff is zwave but anything new I buy from now on will probably be Thread.

Any of them are far superior to Wifi IMNSHO.

  • LG's new 32-inch Smart Monitor has AirPlay 2 for streaming content

Holy hell - the last thing I want is a monitor connected to the Internet!

However if I could use that Ethernet port over USB-C then it might make a compelling dock for my MBP.  Interesting.

  • Elon Musk's on-again off-again Twitter deal is back on

This is real because Musk has realized he’s going to lose in court, and just wants to get it over with.

I think the blowback Musk got for his poll on ending the conflict in Ukraine pushed him over the edge.  When he first launched it, it was overwhelmingly yes then there was a tsunami of no votes - someone sicced the bots on it.  I think he's just sick of the crap on Twitter and he fully intends to reverse the constant propaganda and gaslighting.

And I'm all for it.  Funny how the left loved to trumpet Twitter was a public company and could do anything they want and if you didn't like it just start your own platform.  Now that one of their pet mouthpieces is getting neutered all the sudden it's pRoBlEmAtIc that Twitter is going to be even more private.  Freaking hypocrites.
