  • Apple could let you switch active devices in the future just by picking them up

I have a personal iPhone and a work iPhone, and I so wish I could have my Apple Watch just switch to my work iPhone while I'm at work and then back to my personal iPhone while I'm back on personal time. When you get used to just looking at your watch for any notifications its annoying to have to keep grabbing your phone out of your pocket to see what the notification is for especially when you have 2 iPhones in your pocket.
Being able to pair a watch with more than one iPhone for notifications, period, would be amazing for just this kind of scenario too.

  • Apple doubles 'Made in India' iPhone shipments in Q1

Apple’s continual propping up of the communists in China will be a dark stain on Tim Cook’s legacy.  Hopefully they will continue to diversify away from them.  The lockdowns going on in China should be a further wake up call to the foolishness of getting in bed with and relying so totally on unreliable totalitarian dictators.

Yikes.  Insteon never did make sense - zwave kit was cheaper and has a far wider variety of stuff.  Insteon reminded me of IBMs reaction to the clone market with the PS/2 and microchannel.  To their credit Insteon held out longer than the PS/2 or microchannel

I think Insteon predated Z-Wave. They were there as X-10 was running out of steam.
After a quick look all I found was Insteon debuted in 2005 - I definitely had z-wave stuff before 2005.   Anyway it’s moot since they threw in the towel.

  • Teardown of Apple's new & long Thunderbolt 4 Pro Cable highlights why it's so expensive

The most scary sentence in that whole article " for creatives working with large amounts of data, ChargerLAB states it may be the best option currently available."
Why is that an acceptable outcome?
When I buy a cable that is supposed to allow for Thunderbolt 4, it should follow the specifications and deliver the expected throughput. If not it's mis-labelled and essentially fraud. We need to stop accepting faulty cables and sue the fraudsters.
lol - just look at all the people whining about price in this thread. That’s why cheaper alternatives exist.

Transferring data at high speed is complicated and requires precision engineering, which adds to costs.
