  • U.S. intelligence director: 'no evidence' of Chinese spy chips in iCloud servers

Because we now live in a conspiratorial environment where no one believes the government or corporations this kind of story lives on. Many of us still believe LBJ ordered the Kennedy assassination, the Moon landing was faked, the Twin Towers was an inside job ordered by George Bush. We now have Apple and Amazon on record as saying it didn’t happen and many here on AI don’t believe them even though there would be very serious legal and financial repercussions if they lied. All the government security agencies are saying they have not seen any evidence of doctored motherboards, and Bloomberg cannot provide such a board for inspection. Again, many don’t believe anything the government says because, you know, those jet contrails you see in he sky are actually the government spraying Prozac laced chemicals on the population to keep us subdued. It’s now Bloomberg against the corporations and the government and Bloomberg is to be believed because it’s a ‘news’ source and unimpeachable. Really? Where are the corroborating reports from other news outlets? Do they not have the ability to investigate the veracity of Bloombergs claims or they ‘ in on it’ too?
Bu.. bu.. but didn't you hear!? Gruber thinks that it might be a secret plot by the Trump administration somehow related to the trade war with china. Lol
Link? As to why Bloomberg's govt sources gave them bum info, anything is possible. That included.
Why is it that people reflexively ask “link?” anytime they hear something they don’t like? The assumption is I fabricated that in my head?? Listen to his podcast.

True. Anything is possible. Perhaps the “government” sources were actually lizard people in people skin spreading earth FUD in preparation for an invasion.

  • Schiller says Apple & Adobe working on 'really amazing technology' for iPad Pro

i just want to be able to manually select faces in my photos and label them. and add keywords. in the native app on the iPad. and I actually tweeted Phil this AM to ask him why I still can't do something that simple when Abode can put freaking photoshop on the device
    Agree with this completely.
Also agreed. Photos is another glaring blind spot that significantly affects usability. It's absurd that we can't have basic functionality like being able to tag photos with keywords (such an advanced and complicated technology) or have the ability to search text in photos.

  • New Stockholm city council vows to block unpopular Apple store plans

I've eaten at that TGI Fridays. An Apple Store and surrounding aesthetic upgrade would be a vast improvement for that area.

Maybe I'm missing something, but the opposition to the store seems shallow and petty.

  • Kanye West pitches Apple-designed Air Force One 'iPlane' replacement in oval office

Lol, I love this story. Seems like there may be a hint of grandiosity and increased goal directed activity in those plans.. but it does sound cool B)

I'm glad Kanye is bringing up the topic of mental health for so many. It's unfortunate, however, that so many have decided to steer what should be a productive discussion towards being just another form of partisan bullying.

Anyway, I would've loved to be in the room with all that dragon energy!

(Thank you AI for opening up the comments.)

  • Devialet reveals $999 Phantom Reactor, hints at possible AirPlay 2 support

    1) How will all of those complaining about Siri in the $350 HomePod wrap their minds around a $1000 wireless speaker with absolutely no digital assistant!?

    2) How does a $1000 wireless speaker not launch with AirPlay 2!?

    1) Siri is terrible. It has nothing to do with the price.

I have a HomePod and a Devialet. They serve different purposes and are both a good value for what they deliver. The difference is that the latter does what is advertised. The HomePod is a great speaker, but the horrible implementation of siri keeps limits it to a narrow range of the usability promised. It's too frustrating to use for anything other than homekit commands, airplay, and playing an occasional playlist (it is unable to find any remotely obscure playlists or albums).

    2) Agreed. Pretty absurd.
