er no. 10 years on mac and still using office. itunes is horrible on windows and you have to install it to sync the iphone. thanks a lot apple.
The Zune software is actually really good...It is a lot better than ITunes. I would love it if it came out for my Mac. I have to use my PC for everything with it (not dual booting)

It was previously presumed that the Redmond, Wash.-based software giant would offer offer Mac users a small application to handle syncing only of their phones, but the latest revelation suggests a more feature-rich offering is in the cards, possibly to rival iTunes.

The Zune is a nice piece of hardware and is unique and a thumbs up to MS. Windows 7 is pretty nice. Not perfect, but what is? MS Office for Windows, at least, is very nice - 2003 and 2007 and I love using it at work on my machine that runs XP.
Zune on Mac will be a nice thing and it's very encouraging that MS is realizing that it can play on different computers and be successful.
Saying that, I use a MacBook and PC laptop at home and I use an iPhone and I've been a Mac user for over 20 years. Recently, I've started using Windows as well.
It's so 1990's to slam MS.
Even Steve Balmer in an interview with Ina Friedman for their new phones looks like a new man. He looks humbled and articulate. A big thumbs up to Balmer.
The Monkeyboy days are over. And a BIG THUMBS DOWN on Appleinsider for slyly implying and wording things in a way to make Balmer look stupid. The article yesterday made Appleinsider look stupid and NOT CREDIBLE.
I'm almost ready to stop coming to AI because of the highly slanted articles that are a disservice to EVERYONE.
Anyone at AI reading this? How about some balance? How about not looking so stupid and not credible? How about less yellow journalism?

Come on, people, MS is acknowledging that people use Macs enough that they felt it prudent to write sync software for it. How is that a bad thing?
My only question is if they will make it compatible with WinMo OS. I?d say no.
I was waiting to see if there'd be a sensible comment encouraging MS on this! I can't see any bad thing with MS writing more software that includes mac users.
At the moment it's fair to say MS is try harder to reach out to Apple platforms and users (several MS apps on iOS, Office 2011) than Apple is reaching out to MS.
Oboy, Zune on a smartphone! Now I can finally trash that old Newton and buy into a real white elephant device! Does it suck and crash like an authentic Microsoft device, or does it stink for newly fascinating reasons?

There's a couple of reasons it sucks:
You must use proprietary software to sync.
You must buy all your software from one proprietary app store.
And:
No cut and paste.
No multitasking.
I have no interest in a WinPhone7 because of these 4 factors.
Considering most of today's Mac users left MS for a good reason, I don't understand why would anyone using a Mac want to have a Zune or even a Windblowz 7 "smart" device.
Please Micro$oft, get realistic, ask Balmer to put down his crack pipe and stop sniffing glue.. Do you seriously believe a Mac user would want to install buggy M$ software.... ?

I for one, am considering it. Been using Mac's since the 80's. But I'm not a member of the Mac cult. Haven't gotten the tattoo or secret decoder ring. I'm open to any alternative.

The primary reason might be ZunePass. A subscription based service that allows you to listen to ALL of the music in the Zune store.
