Which ones? The reviews I read gave the opposite impression; that WP7 was a great start for Microsoft's new platform...
I'm sure you can find reviews from people who didn't like it, but in all seriousness, this idea that it felt "slapped together" is definitely NOT the impression I got from the majority of reviewers.
When I read that wp7 is slow and buggy, missing a lot of features, 3rd party apps have problems, etc. that indicates to me that ms pushed it out the door a little soon.

Even more telling that hp didn't buy into it.
Again, this isn't what I read, so I can't exactly comment on it. Gizmodo, for instance, said a LOT of good things about it. If people found bad things, it wouldn't surprise me (being just released and all.)
The first iphone had issues at release, and we all know those things were sorted out.
Really? My guess is you aren't in a position to comment on Microsoft's methods, especially given the fact that you are blatantly and willfully convincing yourself of a lie about who introduced it first...
Microsoft has yet to allow 3rd party multitasking in wp7 - so their methods at this point are smoke and mirrors - which is typical for Microsoft.
Well, one company had their product already available, while the other still had to physically get that product into the hands of people.
Which is easier/quicker? A software update, or the release of an entirely brand new mobile operating system on numerous devices?
At least you're willing to admit as much as "smart people at two different companies came to the same conclusion" which is a far cry from Microsoft copying Apple. That's progress
this is an apple related site. so at best you could hope for a 'MS made wp7 suck less than windows mobile 6'. just like they made win 7 sucks less than Vista. good for them!
Not justifying, just attempting to explain the #'s -apple always states the number sold is the number sold to end users. Most other companies state sales when they mean shipped to resellers - best buy, etc.
We'll have to wait and see what the actual sales numbers are, but I remain skeptical - ESP. Considering hp's breakthrough tablet sales of 9,000 units.
Doesn't matter. There is no Wifi only version of this Tablet. Even if the retailers bought it that means that expect to sell them. And 600k if the number is ever close is very impressive.
You can not buy a Galaxy unless you go with a network vendor. There is no wifi only version and based on the latest news there will be no wifi only version.
So we now have about 40+ more posts in this thread then we do in the Apple software update thread. On an Apple forum just goes to show the fanboys would rather try and debate another Tablet then be happy there is an major update for the one they own.

It doesn't prove or disprove anything - I was compared the first month of iPad sales - excluding channel partners - 1 million - versus samsungs ambiguous 600k number.

you just commented on this very thread right before that post.
Good for you. Also, WebOS is stellar. It's failures are the result of poor decisions by palm. I expect HP to do good things with it.
Webos had potential - but iOS is realizing it's potential - webos was sluggish and buggy and couldn't multitask well with 256 Meg. Of ram.
What apple's done on the iPad with iOS 4.2 is phenomenal.
Webos failed because palm released it too early, ran it on Mickey mouse hardware, and had sprint as their primary service provider. Webos runs better on 512 Meg. of ram, but hp needs to go to higher resolution screens, faster cpu's, etc.
I think webos in a good tablet form factor could be extremely compelling.
Its beyond funny. We should start a group for them call the frantic fanboys. They are more worried about everyone else failing that when someone acutally does well they flip out.
They thought they were finally past it all when MS starting to drop now that Google and Android are doing well the inferiority complex is in full swing.

Well, apple released the prototype of android and wp7 in 2007

See? "look it up" again and yet expect people to buy your story.
People buy my stories all the time, look it up

Should I "look it up" by typing "do people buy chronster's story ALL THE TIME" in google? Lol.
And seems to me a lot of people beg to differ with your "stories".
I'm not sure whether aliens had a hand in building google but I'm he'll sure they did with the pyramid. Look it up. I'm being lazy.

Hahahahaha - I wouldn't print out anything gizmodo writes unless I was using it for toilet paper.
The reviews for webos were stellar too...

Oh yeah and I'm joking
How does that disprove anything?
It doesn't prove or disprove anything - I was compared the first month of iPad sales - excluding channel partners - 1 million - versus samsungs ambiguous 600k number.
That's the number I was referring to.

IF AI is going to put out thread and news about Android related products what is everyone suppose to do ignore it? Clearly the frantic fanboys can't.
