What does half of this mean. Many of you are thinking that the Galaxy S iii is used less then the iPhone 5 for data. Many of you are thinking that the Iphone 5 sold more then the S III, This just shows that for two weeks the iphone 5 was used data more then a rivals phone. We do not know what does this mean for sales as we don't have comparative figures as of yet. (I think the iPhone 5 may be dead even or passed the S III already.) The second point is THE IPHONE 5 IS NEW PEOPLE USE NEW PHONES MORE. This data means nothing. Let the iPhone loose its new phone feel then it will mean something.
Well wait for Apples quarterly reports they tell the world about their SALES, unlike Samsung that never does. See what I did here?
I'm an Apple fan, but this story is completely without merit! First of all, the reason for this is because the second the 10 million people or so upgraded to iOS 6 (on iPhone 4, 4S and iPads) Apple maps suddenly became the default mapping and navigation option. People had no choice! As someone who has been using Android handsets in parallel with an iPhone, Google's mapping offering whilst not as pretty as Apple's, is light years ahead, even muddy paths and walkways in the middle of a housing estate or forrest are covered! There is no way in hell what people will choose Apple's maps today over Android maps if given a simple choice.
This reporting is driven by fanboism over honest analysis. Please compare to the excellent Android Police blog (http://www.androidpolice.com/) that is more impartial in it's reporting. Android Police did a toughness test between the iPhone 5 and Galaxy 3, and were honest enough to admit that the iPhone 5 came out better.
For my part, I will use which ever device does the job. For music, social (texting, Whatsapp messenger etc), I prefer iOS, but for business and navigation, Android Jelly Bean is the way to go, no pun intended! (For now.)
Not around my house. iOS will be on the way out and will be replaced by Android. OS X will still be the dominant desktop (oldskool style). This is because I feel like I've been staring at the same operating system for about four years. I fancy a change, I'll possibly be back in the futre but Apple need to be a bit more exiting. Bland ads, samey looking phones, deleting my apps (youtube and google maps - let me choose!) to name a few. Couple this with a crappy new store, errr ping, .mac, .mobileme then a curtailed icloud. I'm getting a bit tired of signing up for stuff they can't deliver. Yes the iPhone 5 is nice (still a bit sharp in the hand) but other companies make phones and Android always seems to come up with the cool things first - not as polished as Apple but sometimes Apple look as though they are polishing turds. x Verdict iOS 0 Android 1.
Have fun syncing, Mac support isn't that hot, you'll be better off with Windows.
The iPhone's resolution being lower than HD means that video players need to perform some downscaling when playing HD movies. The GS3 screen settings offers a choice of 4 options (dynamic, standard, natural and video) that efficiently tame the "oversaturated" effect. One of the most interesting features in new Galaxy S III is the ability to create your own custom vibration notification.
The Apple Iphone5 to my astonishment is hands down the most extraordinary phone ever built. It is truly a work of art and is a thing of excellence and beauty of craftmenship and technology.. Congratulations to Apple and all the many who will be so rewarded having this masterpiece as one of their own.. Keep up the good work Apple. You guys are the best.
But but but I thought everyone's iPhone was full of nicks and scuffs and scratches?
His reply was about people adding widgets and such on their SGS lll which is possible because of Android then he exalted iOS for being so great, yet there are a great many people that do just that on their iPhones.
Out of curiosity can you post the data you're using showing the relative number of iPhone users that hack the iPhone's in the manner the OP was meaning compared to those hacking Android phones. I'd just be guessing based on users I know but I'd suspect the Android users are more prone to such behavior.

But then most iPhone users I know simply play the HD back over their Apple TV with Airplay to their HD TV screen for serious viewing.
The vibration thing is certainly worthy of some good comments but I'll leave that to others ... LOL

Hopefully they caught the paid saboteur at the factory behind the worst marks (and no doubt someone in quality control or perhaps that's where some of this occurred). When you see that scratchgate seems to have dented Apple's stock price such things may not be all that far fetched. We are talking a sh*t load of money involved!

Pentile, pentile, pentile, cheating on sub-pixels
Wow custom alert vibrations, how advanced.
Yawn...
Visible and Vibrating Alerts
Turn the ringer on and iPhone delivers both visual and vibrating alerts for FaceTime calls, new text messages, new and sent mail, and calendar events. Choose to have an LED light flash for incoming calls and alerts. Or set incoming calls to display a full-screen image of the caller.
In silent mode, iPhone vibrates instead of playing a tone. For incoming FaceTime calls, you can select from different vibration patterns or create your own by tapping out custom patterns.

I love the part "over saturation taming". Sounds straight from Samsungs PR dept.
Even funnier being SIII suffers from over saturation in the first place.
But the drivel is always "it doesn't matter if it doesn't work properly or has issues just root it and all will be fine" attitude for android devices.
Tell me why can't it work straight out of the box?
Wow. I didn't know iOS supported widgets. And let me see how many folders I can create for all my Apps, yep I can spend weeks moving them around into different fancy named folders.
All I hear about the android supports is tweaking this and that and rooting and feeling so thrilled with it all.

You're that deluded to think you can notice a little downsampling on a screen that small?
Another black propaganda? apple must be the best or else they will sue the company who conduct this survey
