Lol were talking .008 of an inch thinner.  I would say that most people could not tell the difference without a set of dial calipers. What a weak comparison.  I would bet you with the shitty quality control samsung has that the actual devices will vary by more than .008.  Were talking sheet of paper thin difference.  BFD¡

I must say, a multitasking feature on the iPad would be a big plus. On several occasions I wanted to access my email or look something up during a FaceTime session and I was quite annoyed that I couldn't without being kicked out of my session.

I still cannot believe that I cannot check my list of voicemails on my iPhone without hanging up first.

I do find the iPhone's narrow portrait screen useless for browsing the web, yes I'd love a larger screen. I browsed the internet on a SG5 and loved it, sorry but that's the truth.

The stylus would be nice for designers on the iPad, but I feel it would be no more more than a gimmick on a phone.

The GS5 isn't even out yet. You can't possibly have used it unless.... You work for Samsung

    The better way to multitask:

    CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v62), quality = 90

Nice setup. Now I see what you heralded the return of the dock (for iPhone 5).

And besides, multitasking is quite difficult on that Samsung tablet; the screen is way too large for single-thumb use.

they also didn't explain how slow the device was due to the multitude of Virus Checking Programs required so that your tablet will function. or the confusing array of features built in that no one would ever use.

Understandable.  I'm not arguing whether the commercials from Apple and Samsung were good or poor ads.  My comments were in reponse to those criticizing Samsung for comparing themselves to their competitor (Apple in this case) and that by doing so it makes them innately inferior.  I was just pointing out that Apple had used the same concept.

The PC guy didn't directly represent a single entity, but it did represent Apple's competition.  During the time, a PC was essentially equated to Windows and the two were (and sometimes still) used interchangeably. So the ads were making direct comparisons to Windows and by extension Microsoft.  Now yes, the delivery of the message was done differently, but bottom line is the ad's purpose was to say my product is better than my competitors - which was also the intent of this commercial.

I don't think Apple mentioned any HW competitor in their Get A Mac ads. That's how it's clever. They didn't have to say "Dell sucks big monkey balls," they only had to refer to the PC as an idea, not a specific product. Regardless of the ultimate goal being to increase profits higher than the total cost of making the ad and buying time slots, the concepts are fundamentally different.

I will say this ad is fundamentally better than their ads making fun of Apple's customer base. You alienate the product, not the customer. As I noted previously Apple did this with their Lemmings ad back in the 80s.

Multitask. My iPhone and iPad has apps still open ready to switch to when I need.

lol..thanks. I didn't even realize I was unbanned. Thought I was banned for 6 months.. maybe it was 3. Anyway, good to be back. I'm sure many here missed my completely factual rants. I don't expect to last long. I call trolls as I see them (as well as bigotry/racism/discrimination/lies/deceitfulness) which I've realized is frowned upon here. I'm still stunned and bewildered at the reason for my ban.

You can do whatever during FaceTime section except to make another phone call which defeats the purpose anyway.

Yes, all the creepy-condescending Apple ads with Johnny Ivy... talk about  hairy-chested and hunchbacked... yikes.

... odd then, that my aging ATT SAMSUNG Galaxy Note 1 has visual-voicemail, and indeed, it can be used while making a regular phone call.

Just out of curiosity, Slurpy: What was the reason?

I only check back in the Apple forums every few months because my tolerance for troll-spew is limited. I made a comment on MacRumors, and didn't get banned, but got it "edited" and told not to comment in that thread any more. I told them who laid the chunk and basically haven't been back.

If this place is getting to be the same, when any degenerate Fandroid scum can vomit their lies all over every thread, and if you call them on it, you get banned, I'd just as soon give this up, too.

    You got it all wrong.

NOT exhibiting enough blind Apple-fanboism is what gets people banned here.

After all, this site is the Pravda of the (grandparents-)tech word.
