Well, every text view in the OS is currently broken. Those with panther can try it - open up a plain text document in TextEdit or any text file in Xcode and start typing. As you go, your text insertion point curseor (the blinking line) gets farther and farther ahead of where the text actually is. This makes it *REALLY* hard to select and edit text.

Typing punctuation appears to sync it up, but the text will continue to be offset from that new punctuation mark.

Hey Brad, can you take some more movies? I'd really like to see everything, and can you take some pictures of the Calculator?

And what did you mean that the DVD Player has a grabber; do you mean you can take a screenshot of the DVD playing? If so, that's awesome, but I doubt that's what you meant. Apple currently has the function for taking pictures disabled while a DVD is in. (edit: I think you meant you can resize the DVD window, which is still awesome)

    Thanks for all the info!

PS: This is one of the first times I have posted here, and I have to say, this is an awesome forum, very well designed and finished!

Only for text that is aliased. It sounds like your threshold for antialiasing is set too high.

Question: Do icons that utilize the Finder's preview icon option still not highlight in the latest build (at least on the desktop)? Or does the new "background" highlight effect take care of this?

Good question! It's the main reason I can't keep Preview Icon on on the Desktop cause you can't tell when an icon's selected.

Also, how about when an image is being downloaded and the icon preview is "broken". Will it update itself to fix it later? Or do I still have to QUIT the Finder to get the icon to refresh? God, I hate that!

Anyone noticed that in 7B21 printing is broken? Seems gimp-print drivers work but all third party drivers are broken. I also can't get idle sleep to work (going to sleep when computer is idle for x minutes). Idle sleep doesn't work for the display either. Aside from those two issues, 7B21 rocks. Unfortunately I can't use it full time due to those issues though.

    Nope.

    Code:

carl@elric 202> defaults read "Apple Global Domain" | grep AntiAlias

    AppleAntiAliasingThreshold = 8;

    carl@elric 203>

And I have 10 point text in both of those programs.

I've got an iCal question, can you have events stretch across days now? I'd like an event from 11pm one day until 5am the next... iCal never draws this correctly...

This build 7B21 has been so buggy for me. Expose isn't working anymore and I can't start my computer without it crashing unless I hold the option key and select the drive for some reason. Anyone else having the same problems.

Brad, or anyone with 7B* access,

Could you play with the "Crop" functionality in Preview? Will it allow you to crop out a section of a single page PDF, or is it only for JPEGS, etc.?

I really want a nice PDF cropping tool, and I am sick of paying for Acrobat just for one feature...

    Thanks for checking!
