Is it me or does Conine reach base practically every single time he comes up to bat?

EDIT: His OBP for the entire postseason is .448 not counting tonight with 39 ABs...Not too shabby.

You know how he's been bragging about being out of shape? It caught up to him. Something about his back.

Also of note, Soriano and Giambi are benched and Jeter is leading off for the Yankees.

The Marlins had a big 2 out rally and scored 3 runs, including a 2 run base hit by their pitcher.

Definitely a strange game so far.

Thrilling 9th inning. This WS is primed to go the full 7 games with a dramatic finale.

The Yankees are choking hard. 0-11 with men on base. Hitting into DPs.

Would be nice if the series went the full 7 games...but...GO FISH. GO BABYFACE CABRERA.

Fitting end...complete game shutout...makes the final out himself... Can you say MVP?

Unbelievable! The Marlins did it! I think there's going to be some major shakeups for the Yankees this offseason.

i stand by my opinion that it was a crappy matchup. aside from the braves, i would have preferred either of the other two NL teams in the WS, and i hate the yanks, so any of the other AL teams would have made for a better WS. however, despite the weak pairing, it was a very good show and i love seeing the underdogs win and the overpaid yankees get bitch-slapped at home.

will the yanks go out and buy pudge next year?

expect the fish to be a solid contender again next year. throw in Burnett, and this team is solid. great group of young talent. if only the astros were paying attention, instead of keeping all the old scrubs til they're physically broken...
