    I knew it....

    iTimeTravel!

Hmm, doesn't seem like this would slap down the iWalk, but I don't see the iWalk as a backstage pass.

BTW, my pie in the sky ultimate dream would of course be something like iQuantum....the world's first home quantum computer.

Seems that Apple's latest slogan didn't inspire the talks that yesterday's did.

Of course, now we have the iWalk to talk about until Monday.

That's because yesterday everybody assumed that by saying "Rumor Sites" that Apple was talking about them. All it really meant, however, is that whatever Apple has got hasn't been mentioned on any of the rumour news sites like MOSR, AppleInsider, ATAT, or TheRegister. If anybody at Apple reads these forums, I'm sure all they do is laugh.

All I can guess is that we will see new iMac's for sure, as well as ghz+ g4 powermacs. I believe the hype has nothing to do with any of Apple's current products, but is centered around the combination of a new device with a specialized service. This is the direction they have been heading for a while. Jobs wants to see a symbiosis between users, hardware and software..... bragging rights about having "the fastest" is secondary. I can see how the man would want to use mac's at pixar, but the release of the hardware that would make it possible is a situation that would be handled very differently. Looking at all the evidence I can only think "iPod", but on a much much grander scale. Consumer based convenience, integration and communication.

    We shall see.

Great idea, Havanas. Maybe we'll be able to use the G5 as a component in the Apple iMachine, which will let us correct past events and alter the space-time continuum as we know it. We can erase Hitler and Stalin from the history books and halt the growth of the Wintel platform at its infancy. Then we can travel forward in time and get a bunch of G6 machines running at 10GHz. I could think of many, many great uses for the iMachine. iWalk is just a smoke screen. iMachine is THE revolution. The paradox of MWSF 2002 is that right now we believe Apple is over-hyping. Yet, post MWSF, we'll know that Apple under promised and over delivered!
