Thanks for the links Brad, those were a laugh riot. It's been awhile since I've read stuff like that here on AI. My advice to Quaggy: count to 100 before starting/replying-to a thread, and if you do elect to post, count to 500 before hitting the submit button. I've developed a nice habit of leaving posts un-posted until the urge passes. You're only 14, listen to the grownups or they'll make fun of you without mercy (like they're already doing). Be a smart guy, LEARN from your mistakes.

No doubt. Some classic replies in those threads. Thanks, Brad.

(Wrong Robot's first response in thread #1 was AWESOME)

I nominate Nebagakid for Gratuitous overuse of the Smokey Smiley in a Supporting Role"

Fellows or Anders deserve Mod Noob of the Moth as new lifeguards in the AO pool

Anders ought to get a Most Clinical or Tension Reliever award,

For Most Welcome Additions to AI... Women!! Woo Hoo! More!

(not that the previous distaff members weren't fine, but the balance needs tipping)

    </foot in mouth></digs hole>

for Most Brainbending Topic I'd nominate Shetline for FTL if I reference the correct frame, or if I could figure out enough of today's Gravity Probe-B Press conference from NASA to add a comprehensible comment to the thread that makes my head hurt with all that thinkin' stuff.

for Most in Need of a Google Transplant I really don't know... the field is huuge

some days I think we should link the Post New Topic button to a Search hurl first.

And I have to nominate Gandalf the Semi-Coherent for something,

because anything LoTR will win its category (since we're awarding for the whole trilogy)

Edit; and johnq gets the... umm wait... I think I lost the award... damit. Too bad man... better luck next year.

You can have an award when you deserve an award. You don't ASK for one.

I'm sure we'll think of something for you, all in good time.

Hey now!!! Let's not say things we don't mean! Someone's feelings could get hurt. And I do have a life

    Honest!

Not as much as you'd like. I have a few awards for you, I'll just keep them to myself for the time being and let someone else have a go at you.

You are however the co-owner of the "Most ruined threads" award with me and Jubelum.

I did not mean to offend you, not at all. Sorry if it came out like that. I was just reading your post on how busy your life is (with your church and bands...) and I thought a comment like that would make you laugh. \

It's all in good fun... there is nothing negative about you in my books. I admire how hard you try to help people (even if you don't end up helping.

I would like to read some threads you and Jubelum trashed,,, that would be funny. (how did I miss them?)

Oh and I welcome anyone who wants to have a go at me... but I don't expect to read anything comical and relevant to myself.

Reading about Quag's powerbook "China Syndrome" got me thinking.

In addition to awards, we need to recognize our individual little diagnoses. Maybe our Residential Shrink can help us with this?

I am looking for formal definitions of:

    "The Quagmire Syndrome"

    "The Murbot Syndrome"

    "Mad-Mod Syndrome"

Can anyone pull their PDR or AMA guide and throw these at me?

<points at self and looks around innocently> Who ME?

I don't think "trashed" is the right term. I prefer to think of them as "temporary diversions from threads that are going nowhere" (That is how I couch it to spare myself the guilt.) And honestly, I am seeking professional help for my little "on the edge of on-topic" thread hijacking problem.

    Thanks for your understanding.

Whoops, sorry. It did make me laugh. I was jokin too. I think what we have here is a failure to communicate

We were good at it. I believe a few of them may have been started by none other than quagmire. Leme see if I can find one....

**DMBand digs around in piles of trash next to his chair**

**Falls out of chair, swears loudly**

Ah...here's a good one, Neo's first thread. We managed to mess that one up pretty good. Went from "Hi, I'm a new member" to some little kid getting a shot and some other kid getting nuts in his face. Sooo OT. But like Jubelum said, we're getting help for that. I gotta quit derailing threads, either that or get someone to pay me for it.
